I'm going to say that 99 goes to Wilf Paiement. What you disagree and say some guy named Gretzky was better? How dare you. Paiement had that number first. Number 8 should've been Selänne not Ovie that was a war crime of a choice. I agree Ovechkin is one of the greatest goal scorers ever, but surely not picked ahead of Selänne into a list like this.
I disagree with number 13, i.e. Datsyuk being better than Teemu Selanne. He has more goals, more points, a Stanley Cup, Calder Trophy, most goals a rookie has ever scored, etc.
#2 should be Doug Harvey. He was head and shoulders the best d-man for an entire decade, won seven Norris trophies, ten first-team all star selections, 13 all-star game selections and six cups as a Hab. Leetch had good numbers, but he wasn't the unequivocally best d-man of his era that guys like Harvey or Orr were in their day. #31 should be Billy Smith with honorable mention to Carey Price. But Grant Fuhr? He was carried to cups by an all-star team and this reputation as a money goalie is perpetuated by his buddy, Wayne Gretzky. Even while there, he lost his starting job more than once to Moog and Ranford. His numbers were crap, even for the era. His Vezina was a joke. Most overrated player in NHL history.

Leetch had good numbers, but he wasn't the unequivocally best d-man of his era that guys like Harvey or Orr were in their day.
#31 should be Billy Smith with honorable mention to Carey Price. But Grant Fuhr? He was carried to cups by an all-star team and this reputation as a money goalie is perpetuated by his buddy, Wayne Gretzky. Even while there, he lost his starting job more than once to Moog and Ranford. His numbers were crap, even for the era. His Vezina was a joke. Most overrated player in NHL history.
