Thanks everyone for watching. It’s times like these I’m glad I have a UA-cam channel, as it helps me justify spending an evening crashing RC cars through fences made of pasta. Thanks for giving me an excuse to do these types of things. Hope you all have an awesome weekend and stay tuned for next week's upload! 👍
Some light scoring of past, both lengthways and vertical should give a more realistic break, also lightly sanding the pasta to make it thinner, or you brave enough, make you own purpose made pasta, maybe a collaboration with a channel that makes pasta? May even have some more ideas from a source like that.
Perhaps try cooking the pasta then letting it dry out before turning it into the fence. This makes it less flexible and more brittle so it may fare better for your application
For the wafer cookies to be held in place and have a less flexible adhesive try sugar glue. Should give a nice clean “snap.” I love the Gen. Lee series. Can’t wait to see some epic scale sets of the good ol’ boys meaning no harm.
Crazy how far your channel has come. I remember watching and telling other people about your channel when the channel was much smaller. I was on a live stream talking to the HPI guys and they hadn’t heard your channel but they found and loved it
You can also use thin styrofoam sheets for your breakaway pieces. They come apart rather well too. As far as the gluing goes, you’ll want to do it in spots instead of laying down a long bead, as it won’t come apart properly otherwise. Also- you’ll want to lightly score your breakaways to help with the destruction.
Love the art and passion fir these series. A little advice to help with the realistic of the car. The rear needs the black around the tail lights. Just needs a bit of black around. Something the GLee fans will appreciate. 👍🏁🇨🇱
Just a thought but after you paint them get a crap toaster oven and put the pasta fences in it low heat to dry the pasta out really good. I think that it will make the pasta more brittle and less bendy.
Very entertaining video , whats there not to like about the General Lee . Love the video , theres no doubt in my mind Bo and Luke are so proud of you. Hats off to you my friend something as simple and entertaining as that put a smile on my face . If you were a kid growing up watching the show im sure you understand . Yee Haa.
Are you going for the old movie set style shots or realistic shots with physics applied? I deal with vehicle collisions on the daily and have seen cars and objects do ridiculous things versus the movies. But I think they gamed the sets pretty hard back then to create those shots. Maybe see what they did to get those shots and the mimic the technique and downsize. For instance car crushing they always pre-cut all a-d pillars of a car, let the air out of the tires with patches for a controlled off-gas ect.
I'll bet hitting the fence at a bit of angle, concentrating the force into the corner of the car hitting one point of the fence, instead of spreading it out over the whole fence and the whole nose will give you more of a shatter effect.
*******WITH A 3D PRINTER MAKE BOARDS TO SCALE INCLUDING WOOD GRAINED(flaw and splinter points) THEN SILICONE MOLD FROM THE 3D PRINTED PARTS. FORM IN THE MOLD THE PARTS WITH SUGAR GLASS THEN PAINT!! THESE WILL PROVIDE THE PERSPECTIVE AND REALISTIC SCALE TO BRITTLENESS NEEDED!!*******
You could make a road sign with the fkrst wafer cookie bars lile a bill board on a post then make a dirt and grass hill jump and jump through the wafer bill board like jumping off side of interstate or something
I was thinking… When you take pasta out of the box or the package, even though they look and feel dry, they might still have a lot of moisture in them, making them more flexible. If you could dehydrate your pasta, maybe they would become perfectly brittle for what you want to do with them.
There are people dying of starvation i this world, yet I'm sitting here watching this. Would the rich corps quit being a$$ho1e$ already and help people in need and erase greed.

Glad you tried the pasta!
Hello sir can I get one of your cars.
Pasta is perfect for making hollywood movies.

finally!! this is my deamcar irl, so i love this series of the general lee

Crash through obstacles, break parts, glue them back on! I'm pretty sure that's what they did on the show so, all is good 😉

You could potentially use those thin, skinny, wooden coffee stirrers to make some scale-ish fences and or barn type things?
i think those would just bounce the car away
I think you have found a limitation of the 1/24 scale. Needs more weight and/or size. Still a great idea and a fun video to watch. Thanks.

I love the general Lee content its awsome. Also the shots of breaking the wall were really cool! Maby super glue would snap better.
Thank you, glad you like it. 👍
Very creative . You are a patient guy. Can’t wait to see your final dukes of hazard homage
Wonder if the paint is effecting the pasta and making it slightly more rubbery.

you could try candle wax as an alternative!
Maybe you should try sanding down the pasta it will make it thinner and therefore make it snap easier idk just a suggestion!
At least when you crash your general lee it still looks like a car that can be easily fixed and not destroyed like so many real chargers
Very nice video great ideas

Rear sway bar will help keep it in line
That thing is taking so much abuse for how small it is.
did you consider scoring the pasta so it would break more easier
If you bake the noodles you may be able to make it more brittle and easier to break

absolutely cool what body is that were can i get one awesome vid man

Please make Rolls Royce model car series
You need to pre-break the pasta and glue it back together or weaken it in paces you want it to break,

the cookie reminds me of drywall
Break the Pasta in multiple pieces
And then going it back together
I’d be interested in buying a rtr
You have to do the cop car too
if you are still in the 1/10rc cars can you pls make a 3d printed kei truck body
yeeeeeee hawwwwww
Score the pasta to help break?
Man really thin balsa will break
Melted sugar makes great hard glue
What is that rc general lee? Brand etc etc?
First brother, you got to paint that rear end around the taillights black!! Doesnt look right
Using trash to make something useful.. Perfect
Please, just make the back flat black, please!
Where do you get the General at?
He built it himself
@@defusion69 Wow! He did an amazing job
