  • Our pool aerator nozzle head is all worn out. In this video I will get in the pool and replace it. Our video was interrupted by our pool vac. He is quite a character.

Do you need pump off to change it

You don't have to but it will be easier if you turn off the pump. If you leave the pump on water will be spraying every where when you try to screw the aerator back in.

How do you do a nozzle replacement video without showing you taking the old one off? You show the old one then cut to the new one.

I unscrewed it at 0:58 and then I screwed in the new one at 1:20. It's pretty simple to unscrew. Just remember to turn it counter clockwise to unscrew it and clockwise to tighten it.

@@ThatHobby Regular channel locks worked to unscrew or did you need vice grip?

Channel locks should work fine. I was able to unscrew it by hand. You could see there was barely any thread left on mine though. If it is stuck and you can't get a good grip with the channel locks then you may need some vice grips but it could break when you clamp down on it with the vice grips. I was able to take it out by hand but I had to use channel locks to tighten it just because I wanted the angle to be aiming straight up.
