People gotta stop the cope related to the gameplay. It is a great concept for a game but it could use a lot of improvements, it’s to basic. Let the character have abilities related to that character instead of and animation that kills an enemy, let the elemental melee attack be a different type of attack with different effects for each character, let’s have the counter shot be based of the counter measures to defeat the JL and make them essential to unlocking new areas of the map and a fun new addition to the gameplay loop, Instead of the ability that slows time for all squad have a new second ability for each character that it’s main purpose it’s to help your team, let grenades have a different way of working depending on the characters. Seriously people, you are defending a gameplay so basic it has no personality.
Truth is, the game isn’t failing because it’s live service, it’s failing because not 1 soul asked for a suicide squad game in the Arkham verse and we damn sure wouldn’t wanna kill the Arkham verse justice league. I bet everything I have that if rock steady / Warner bros would have made a live service arkham justice league game, we would all be fine with that. Playing with justice league with the homies would have been fire smh.

I wanted a SS squad game ever since they teased the possibility in Origins but I wanted characters that would actually be cool to play as in a story centric open world . I wanted Deathstroke, Black Manta, Deadshot, (which we got), Bronze Tiger, Livewire, Banshee, Killer Frost etc. We could have gotten something like that but instead we got this.
It's amazing that people are still trying to defend this game. Even if they know it's taking a nose drive off a cliff in front of their eyes. They promised this character was free yet they charge $10 to unlock him right away. They have a battle pass or whatever and your reward is some of the dumbest, blandest looking skins ever. They promised to completely change the map with a Joker theme all throughout the city. They added presents on streets. They promised at least 4 new mission types. That didn't actually release with the new character but are being released later during "this season' whatever that means. WB and Rocksteady are killing off what little bit of fans they have left. But you still have people out here, "But the gameplay is good. Trust me just ignore that repeatedly shove the fact that this is part of the Arkham verse in your face and rate this game for what it is." Even if I did that the story is stupid. The characters are insulting. They completely ignore decades of comic book lore. They go out of their way to piss on (at one point literally) these fan favorite characters for a bad joke or jokes. The UI is a god-awful nightmare. The enemy and missions are literally the same copy and paste half-assed attempt just on repeat. Hell they couldn't even bother to make a unique boss fight for the end of the story. This game is lazy and defending it just because you're afraid to get cut off from review copies is kinda sad.

Honestly this is a great game and it just isn’t for everyone🤷♂️, I’ve beaten and platinum the Arkham games before this one. And this is a worthy one in the series. I think most people just keep comparing it to how the Batman games play out. It’s a completely different game that so happens to take place in the same timeline, don’t get me wrong we all hated Batman’s death, but their whole season idea just shows the Justice league is still alive and our beloved character isn’t actually dead, and it was already revealed that we’re getting a new Batman game in the Arkham series(although it’s a vr one which is a L). This game has teasers and common Easter’s eggs enough for us to know that the Justice league is still there(also because let’s be real, a couple of criminals just can’t kill the Justice league), and Batman’s gonna return as well as the Justice league(besides Wonder Woman). The concept of this game is AMAZING, who doesn’t want to kill the fkn BRAINWASHED JUSTICE LEAGUE, maybe it’s bc ima fan of lego Batman beyond Gotham, but Braniac is obviously a worthy villain, and through the seasons im sure his boss fight will change every time. The gameplay is unique and fast paced depending on your character, everyone is different has a unique play style and way to get around. This is a video game, they don’t have to connect it to the comics. The spider man games aren’t based off the comics. Imo this game is good and it’s unique for the series, I probably can’t change your mind obviously but this games a solid 9/10 and I’ve played many many many games. It seriously isn’t bad as people say it is. The bad reviews just lead people to have super low expectations then they’re obviously not gonna enjoy the game. People should just stop being bandwagons tbh and just play whatever they want and if they don’t like it don’t play it and if they do then play it. But i played this game even though the reviews are just talking shite, and I ended up enjoying it a lot.
Here’s what happened, WB Games told a AAA Single Player studio to do a Live Service game Rocksteady has never done live service ever. This is Why they need to stop doing live service games or at least stop forcing AAA Single player developers to do Live service games.
Honestly I’m that guy who found entertainment in joker in traversals and I know it’s not hamill but for another variant this version was quite fun and I mean I enjoy his movement it’s so good just wish we could’ve had a more intense moment between harley and joker
One issue I currently have that is keeping me from continuing to play the game, is deadshot is constantly on fire and I have no idea how to get rid of it. I'm not one for the style of this game, so I can't comment or compare. But I do agree, some things could be better
Check out some of your gear on the right side for me it was electricity and it was the reverse flash neck mod if that doesn’t work then try color swapping to something then back I found it works when it’s just a glitch
I’ve been having a ton of fun with this DLC thus far. I do agree I wish there was more story content, but I’m perfectly fine with waiting to see what Rocksteady does with this game.
I think they should have made this game more violent, bloody and gore. It may help make the fighting more interesting/intense. Fighting the same things constantly is kill it too.

Mr. Freeze is most likely the season 2 DLC character that was revealed when they reveal Seasons 1-4 (1 being Joker, 2 most likely being Freeze, 3 is speculated to be Lawless (Deadshot's daughter), and 4 being ArkhamVerse Deathstroke)
Ok, I've had this idea for a while so this is what I feel Rocksteady should've done instead of SS game, they should've done JL game. DISCLAIMER: (I am not a writer or game designer, hell I barely passed English, so if you have any idea's to help with mine that would be appreciated. My idea is coming entirely from the movie "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths". I will not be removing the Online Service since that is entirely WB) 1. my idea is that instead of Brainiac as the main villain(s) it would be the crime syndicate, and the Justice League would be chasing them throughout the multiverse 2. each season could have maybe an hour long story, you could use more DC characters as the enemies (Green Arrow, Black Canary, Lobo, etc.) 3. for the final season, you could have Owlman take a bomb to Earth-Prime to destroy the multiverse and only Batman is in any condition to stop him, that way you would have the Arkham Batman for the final mission.
Tip for the poison and shield mutators, use a scarecrow weapon, crit reload 5 times and your firearms will deal poison 100 of the time. So change to a stacked deck or any other good weapon and enjoy!
He's lying. The cringe dialog written by sweet baby inc ruins the average voice acting. That voice actor plays Morph on the original Xmen cartoon and 97. The original Xmen cartoon was known for the worst voice acting and unintentionally funny lines due to bad delivery . Especially Morph.

They should have had a mini campaign that introduces the player to the Joker which is what people were expecting but they`re so obsessed with trying to keep people playing that there`s more focus on grinding side missions. The way I see it the battlepass is the problem. Any time there`s a battlepass the game has to facilitate it which tends to lead to more focus on quantity than quality. They could have done so many interesting things here and with so many characters in the game there`s so much room for mission variety.

Great, you can still find a little positive in what we did get. I'm also disappointed with what we got, but I'm not gonna stop playing just yet. I'm just gonna slow roll through the ranks until episode 2 releases and see what they decide to add next.
5:50 This is my main issue with this DLC... I honestly LOVE his design, and voice acting... it's the fact they teased us as if we're getting a bunch of story content.. making me not want to even jump back in and play with the squad. It's cool to play the story over again with him eventually.. but I'll probably wait until the rest of the Roadmap is released and play it all in one shot. What a shame. This should have had a few hours of story content added with at least 20 minutes of cutscenes.
Game is good, don’t listen to sh!t reviews and don’t be a band wagon. For the people who haven’t played it, give it a shot, I did it and ended up enjoying it and it’s a worthy game to the Arkhamverse. I’ve beaten and platinumed the Batman games before playing this one, and this one INDEED worthy.
The only quote that is even seemingly a reaction from Harley is “Shooting your target joker, making it weird” and even then I think she’s just trying to be funny while killing it

Glad to hear there is some positives for Joker, it is a different take on Joker, but there has been similar Joker types throughout the years, so it's a bit odd how people seem so offended that it's "different" - sure it doesn't beat Mark Hamill's or Heath Ledger's Joker performances (which it wasn't going to try to pretend to be) it is it's own variant, I think of him like a twisted alternate universe Cesar Romero Joker if anything comparable to a live-action sort and the voice maybe a lighter version of the one from Batman The Animated series. I wish they had more story surrounding the Joker, and more care put into crafting the season. (Also happy birthday, all the best)
There’s nothing wrong with “different”, but the big thing that matters is whether or not that different is good. When I found out Ledger’s Joker was a mercenary, i thought it was ridiculous, but after watching the movie, the performance and the setting helped justify the choices. DiMaggio’s voicing of the Joker is very different from Hamill’s or Baker’s, but it worked because of the charisma and line delivery. Both Ledger and DiMaggio felt like Joker, whereas this new Joker just did not feel the same way, or evoke the same emotions
@@ajward9112 Good points, like how I feel certain Batman in media, Red Hood, Damien Wayne don't feel like how I would expect them to be. I believe they could've done more work for Joker in this, Heath Ledger really got into his role, and performed excellently. Some still take issue with the Batman from the Dark Knight trilogy being different from the comics or older days of Batman. Some may prefer the the more whimsical less edgy performances. But, I understand it can be quite jarring and off-putting to most.
Yet u over look the the fluent and fun gameplay, the good graphics, W cutscene and the HUGE amount of FREE cosmetics items. And even if the game is “grindy af” the gameplay is fun enough to keep playing. So why u crying
I’m just so confused… like… Suicide Squad 2021 obviously had a lot of heart. Suicide Squad 2016 arguably tried to humanize its ensemble of characters (mainly Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and El Diablo) But for some reason this fucking game never lets its characters be vulnerable or human in any way… they’re so pressed about having these villains behave like villains that they forgot most of these characters can be a lil’ more… King Shark in the 2021 movie was a lonely and sympathetic character. Deadshot was a loving father. Harley has a lot of baggage and trauma from her previous relationship w/ Joker etc. etc… but none of that gets explored at all! It’s like the writers just didn’t give a shit…
Happy birthday by the way, Caboose! It was my birthday on March 29, the day following this DLC dropping, so I played it. I have an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed it. But then again, I also enjoyed the Main Story. Despite its MANY flaws, I do still enjoy and like this game. But I do respect your opinion and agree with you. As I do with many people who don't like the game as well.

I think because he already did young joker they didn't want to confuse what they were trying to do with this one. I think the . Mannerisms in his new voice are great, but it's so new I have to get used to it.
I never played Suicide Squad, but looking at what he said, I think I prefer the Marvel's Avengers post launch content. My favorite mission to jump back into is the final mission of Taking A.I.M. It's a shame that we didn't get whole campaigns for the Mighty Thor or the Winter Solder bc I would have loved to play through The Mighty Thor's story if we got to travel the multiverse. I feel really bad for Suicide Squad players that don't even get the post launch campaign experience.
At least Joker got the WayneTech Skin. Captain Boomerang not only got nothing but that one cutscene and a $10 skin that you gotta actual twice the price to get not even what the battle pass for one character. I don't see a single person actually talking about the fact that Boomerang just didn't get anything and how by not giving him anything they are shooting themselves in the foot by alienating a portion of their audience just for playing a certain character. I mean, this game had Kevin Conroy, Tara strong, Nolan north, and other Arkham alumni. If they couldn't save it... I doubt mark hamill being involved would have made it better. The best parts about this game are cut scenes and even then those are hit and miss based on writing.
honestly it's elseworlds. I think the Joker is actually fine as he is. There's so many different versions of him we didn't need the Arkham Joker again. I'm not sure what people were expecting from this one, I think he was fine he just needed more voice lines for custom situations. Especially reacting to his older version from the main universe. People are overly critical about his design when he gives Comedian Joker vibes. However; everything else is absolutely god awful. Why the hell is he using penguin tech to move around?' Why is Brainiac Green Lantern, an alien, using Tank constructs? Why does Harley have no actual moment with this Joker? We hear about Batman on his world and how he killed his team but get no more details? They shove everything in Joker's tapes and it's still not enough. Doing the same endgame missions over and over again is stupid
This has probably gotta be the first time someone has critisized this game/dlc in a way thats fair and plausible. Everyone is just trying to dunk on this game. And most of the criticism is granted but to just hate the game for the sake of hating it and to generate drama and views sucks for the game and the developers. Imagen if they have to shutdown because of the hate and poor sales numbers. Its nice to see someone who is able to see beyond the fluff and limitations and critisize the game fairly. I firmly believe that their plan is to encourage people to pay for Joker by making it ridiculously grindy to unlock him for free. Whether this was their plan from the beginning, who knows...but the lower than expected sales for the original release surely must have given them an even stronger incentive to make it that way. Considering the decreasing player counts the next DLC will prob be even more grindy.
Hopefully Rocksteady sees how everyone is not thrilled with this game or the dlc and compresses every season to come into like two or three episodes. One of the biggest things that angered me when I played the game is that you don't actually complete it. You beat Brainiac 1 but need to wait an indefinite amount of time before killing the others to conclude the story. I really held out hope for this game as the years went on since it was announced and we started to see gameplay of it. I enjoyed it better than Gotham Knights, but booting it up for each new season is not on my radar.

As I mentioned in a previous post here, I think that this may be an alternate Arkham-verse from the one we all know. I mean, even the Joker in this game is from another universe so why should we expect this Joker to be like the one we know about it? We are talking about the multiverse here. Are players forgetting that?
I’m gonna have to agree with caboose man I mean to be honest this felt like a repeat and didn’t feel like a lot of thought was put into it, mainly it felt like it wasn’t the dlc everybody was expecting. Don’t get me wrong the gameplay was really fun and the boss fight was great but like caboose said I was expecting more of a story as well because I was actually excited to see how Harley was gonna interact with this joker, not to mention I was curious to see how they would interact but sadly we’ll never know. Overall it was a let down sadly, I’m hoping the best dlcs can be better especially since the last one is deathstroke supposedly so I’m still hoping something good to come out of this game
I'm so heated, I literally paid $10 to unlock the joker & you have to be level 35 just to play as him. The battle pass is also terrible besides a few good suits. I will never make a purchase on this game ever again but I'll definitely keep playing it for free.

I was so excited to play this game that I completely stopped playing Gotham Knights...(turns out GK is the better game) Definitely DID NOT do my homework for this one. Everybody disowns this game is being in the Arkham verse. We don't acknowledge it and we flat-out refused to believe that it actually does take place in the same universe.
While I get the criticism for spending for Joker I think people also forget that there are new gear sets to farm for. So I don’t see the problem with making you farm to unlock joker when you’re gonna be farming for the new gear anyway

Happy birthday btw P.S.: the SS game was made mostly by new people,and I say mostly because the OG devs did work on it before they decided to call it a day and start fresh with a new game and different studio.
I don’t get how the people behind one of the not only best comic book/superhero but best video games period, have in my opinion missed the mark with this. I applaud them for trying something new, but wish they just made a justice league game. I’ll leave a little caveat that I haven’t purchased this so MAYBE I feel differently playing myself, but I liked the format of the Arkham series and this is very different to that. This game seems way too complicated for me which is partially what’s putting me off even purchasing it. And I feel bad as I know so many people poured their creative juices and hours and hours of their lives, but I think this game would have been better if they didn’t decide to connect it to the Arkhamverse. Just let it be its own thing.

It's amazing that people are still trying to defend this game. Even if they know it's taking a nose drive off a cliff in front of their eyes.
They promised this character was free yet they charge $10 to unlock him right away.
They have a battle pass or whatever and your reward is some of the dumbest, blandest looking skins ever.
They promised to completely change the map with a Joker theme all throughout the city. They added presents on streets.
They promised at least 4 new mission types. That didn't actually release with the new character but are being released later during "this season' whatever that means.
WB and Rocksteady are killing off what little bit of fans they have left. But you still have people out here, "But the gameplay is good. Trust me just ignore that repeatedly shove the fact that this is part of the Arkham verse in your face and rate this game for what it is." Even if I did that the story is stupid. The characters are insulting. They completely ignore decades of comic book lore. They go out of their way to piss on (at one point literally) these fan favorite characters for a bad joke or jokes. The UI is a god-awful nightmare. The enemy and missions are literally the same copy and paste half-assed attempt just on repeat. Hell they couldn't even bother to make a unique boss fight for the end of the story. This game is lazy and defending it just because you're afraid to get cut off from review copies is kinda sad.

Honestly this is a great game and it just isn’t for everyone🤷♂️, I’ve beaten and platinum the Arkham games before this one. And this is a worthy one in the series. I think most people just keep comparing it to how the Batman games play out. It’s a completely different game that so happens to take place in the same timeline, don’t get me wrong we all hated Batman’s death, but their whole season idea just shows the Justice league is still alive and our beloved character isn’t actually dead, and it was already revealed that we’re getting a new Batman game in the Arkham series(although it’s a vr one which is a L). This game has teasers and common Easter’s eggs enough for us to know that the Justice league is still there(also because let’s be real, a couple of criminals just can’t kill the Justice league), and Batman’s gonna return as well as the Justice league(besides Wonder Woman). The concept of this game is AMAZING, who doesn’t want to kill the fkn BRAINWASHED JUSTICE LEAGUE, maybe it’s bc ima fan of lego Batman beyond Gotham, but Braniac is obviously a worthy villain, and through the seasons im sure his boss fight will change every time. The gameplay is unique and fast paced depending on your character, everyone is different has a unique play style and way to get around. This is a video game, they don’t have to connect it to the comics. The spider man games aren’t based off the comics. Imo this game is good and it’s unique for the series, I probably can’t change your mind obviously but this games a solid 9/10 and I’ve played many many many games. It seriously isn’t bad as people say it is. The bad reviews just lead people to have super low expectations then they’re obviously not gonna enjoy the game. People should just stop being bandwagons tbh and just play whatever they want and if they don’t like it don’t play it and if they do then play it. But i played this game even though the reviews are just talking shite, and I ended up enjoying it a lot.

Have to agree the voice actor really nailed it and the cut scenes are probably the best part of the game. Too bad there is literally no content.
Here’s what happened, WB Games told a AAA Single Player studio to do a Live Service game Rocksteady has never done live service ever. This is Why they need to stop doing live service games or at least stop forcing AAA Single player developers to do Live service games.
Honestly I’m that guy who found entertainment in joker in traversals and I know it’s not hamill but for another variant this version was quite fun and I mean I enjoy his movement it’s so good just wish we could’ve had a more intense moment between harley and joker

One issue I currently have that is keeping me from continuing to play the game, is deadshot is constantly on fire and I have no idea how to get rid of it. I'm not one for the style of this game, so I can't comment or compare. But I do agree, some things could be better
Check out some of your gear on the right side for me it was electricity and it was the reverse flash neck mod if that doesn’t work then try color swapping to something then back I found it works when it’s just a glitch
There's a skin that has characters on fire but he possibly was afflicted and the visual stayed or gear.
Best way to grind Fear Lvls is Killing Time its only 500 and if you go to mastery 40+ you can get about 5 to 7 lvls

I’ve been having a ton of fun with this DLC thus far. I do agree I wish there was more story content, but I’m perfectly fine with waiting to see what Rocksteady does with this game.

Ok, I've had this idea for a while so this is what I feel Rocksteady should've done instead of SS game, they should've done JL game.
DISCLAIMER: (I am not a writer or game designer, hell I barely passed English, so if you have any idea's to help with mine that would be appreciated. My idea is coming entirely from the movie "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths". I will not be removing the Online Service since that is entirely WB)
1. my idea is that instead of Brainiac as the main villain(s) it would be the crime syndicate, and the Justice League would be chasing them throughout the multiverse
2. each season could have maybe an hour long story, you could use more DC characters as the enemies (Green Arrow, Black Canary, Lobo, etc.)
3. for the final season, you could have Owlman take a bomb to Earth-Prime to destroy the multiverse and only Batman is in any condition to stop him, that way you would have the Arkham Batman for the final mission.
Tip for the poison and shield mutators, use a scarecrow weapon, crit reload 5 times and your firearms will deal poison 100 of the time. So change to a stacked deck or any other good weapon and enjoy!

They should have had a mini campaign that introduces the player to the Joker which is what people were expecting but they`re so obsessed with trying to keep people playing that there`s more focus on grinding side missions. The way I see it the battlepass is the problem. Any time there`s a battlepass the game has to facilitate it which tends to lead to more focus on quantity than quality. They could have done so many interesting things here and with so many characters in the game there`s so much room for mission variety.

Great, you can still find a little positive in what we did get. I'm also disappointed with what we got, but I'm not gonna stop playing just yet. I'm just gonna slow roll through the ranks until episode 2 releases and see what they decide to add next.
The main issue I've gotten with my playthrough is it says my storage is full yet I clear out some space for those items in particular

I honestly LOVE his design, and voice acting... it's the fact they teased us as if we're getting a bunch of story content.. making me not want to even jump back in and play with the squad. It's cool to play the story over again with him eventually.. but I'll probably wait until the rest of the Roadmap is released and play it all in one shot. What a shame. This should have had a few hours of story content added with at least 20 minutes of cutscenes.
Game is good, don’t listen to sh!t reviews and don’t be a band wagon. For the people who haven’t played it, give it a shot, I did it and ended up enjoying it and it’s a worthy game to the Arkhamverse. I’ve beaten and platinumed the Batman games before playing this one, and this one INDEED worthy.
The only quote that is even seemingly a reaction from Harley is “Shooting your target joker, making it weird” and even then I think she’s just trying to be funny while killing it

Glad to hear there is some positives for Joker, it is a different take on Joker, but there has been similar Joker types throughout the years, so it's a bit odd how people seem so offended that it's "different" - sure it doesn't beat Mark Hamill's or Heath Ledger's Joker performances (which it wasn't going to try to pretend to be) it is it's own variant, I think of him like a twisted alternate universe Cesar Romero Joker if anything comparable to a live-action sort and the voice maybe a lighter version of the one from Batman The Animated series. I wish they had more story surrounding the Joker, and more care put into crafting the season. (Also happy birthday, all the best)
There’s nothing wrong with “different”, but the big thing that matters is whether or not that different is good. When I found out Ledger’s Joker was a mercenary, i thought it was ridiculous, but after watching the movie, the performance and the setting helped justify the choices. DiMaggio’s voicing of the Joker is very different from Hamill’s or Baker’s, but it worked because of the charisma and line delivery. Both Ledger and DiMaggio felt like Joker, whereas this new Joker just did not feel the same way, or evoke the same emotions
@@ajward9112 Good points, like how I feel certain Batman in media, Red Hood, Damien Wayne don't feel like how I would expect them to be. I believe they could've done more work for Joker in this, Heath Ledger really got into his role, and performed excellently. Some still take issue with the Batman from the Dark Knight trilogy being different from the comics or older days of Batman. Some may prefer the the more whimsical less edgy performances. But, I understand it can be quite jarring and off-putting to most.

Suicide Squad 2016 arguably tried to humanize its ensemble of characters (mainly Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and El Diablo)
But for some reason this fucking game never lets its characters be vulnerable or human in any way… they’re so pressed about having these villains behave like villains that they forgot most of these characters can be a lil’ more…
King Shark in the 2021 movie was a lonely and sympathetic character.
Deadshot was a loving father.

It was my birthday on March 29, the day following this DLC dropping, so I played it. I have an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed it. But then again, I also enjoyed the Main Story. Despite its MANY flaws, I do still enjoy and like this game. But I do respect your opinion and agree with you. As I do with many people who don't like the game as well.

I think because he already did young joker they didn't want to confuse what they were trying to do with this one. I think the . Mannerisms in his new voice are great, but it's so new I have to get used to it.

I never played Suicide Squad, but looking at what he said, I think I prefer the Marvel's Avengers post launch content. My favorite mission to jump back into is the final mission of Taking A.I.M. It's a shame that we didn't get whole campaigns for the Mighty Thor or the Winter Solder bc I would have loved to play through The Mighty Thor's story if we got to travel the multiverse. I feel really bad for Suicide Squad players that don't even get the post launch campaign experience.
At least Joker got the WayneTech Skin. Captain Boomerang not only got nothing but that one cutscene and a $10 skin that you gotta actual twice the price to get not even what the battle pass for one character. I don't see a single person actually talking about the fact that Boomerang just didn't get anything and how by not giving him anything they are shooting themselves in the foot by alienating a portion of their audience just for playing a certain character. Everyone always will be like, "Deadshot didn't get the Super Zeroes Skin either." Like... Do you REALLY wanna pay $20 to get traversal made of cardboard??? Cuz that's all the Captain Boomerang fans got. Like... At least Deadshot's WayneTech stuff is free.

Tbh they probably had abit more planned for season 1 but due to the games negative reception and dismissal sales, WB has pulled most of the budget away from them to try and lessen the losses, Avengers did the same during its final stages, I mean the motion comic cutscene screams "no budget"

I mean, this game had Kevin Conroy, Tara strong, Nolan north, and other Arkham alumni. If they couldn't save it... I doubt mark hamill being involved would have made it better. The best parts about this game are cut scenes and even then those are hit and miss based on writing.

honestly it's elseworlds. I think the Joker is actually fine as he is. There's so many different versions of him we didn't need the Arkham Joker again. I'm not sure what people were expecting from this one, I think he was fine he just needed more voice lines for custom situations. Especially reacting to his older version from the main universe. People are overly critical about his design when he gives Comedian Joker vibes. However; everything else is absolutely god awful.
Why the hell is he using penguin tech to move around?' Why is Brainiac Green Lantern, an alien, using Tank constructs? Why does Harley have no actual moment with this Joker? We hear about Batman on his world and how he killed his team but get no more details? They shove everything in Joker's tapes and it's still not enough. Doing the same endgame missions over and over again is stupid

This has probably gotta be the first time someone has critisized this game/dlc in a way thats fair and plausible. Everyone is just trying to dunk on this game. And most of the criticism is granted but to just hate the game for the sake of hating it and to generate drama and views sucks for the game and the developers. Imagen if they have to shutdown because of the hate and poor sales numbers. Its nice to see someone who is able to see beyond the fluff and limitations and critisize the game fairly. I firmly believe that their plan is to encourage people to pay for Joker by making it ridiculously grindy to unlock him for free. Whether this
was their plan from the beginning, who knows...but the lower than expected sales for the original release surely must have given them
an even stronger incentive to make it that way. Considering the decreasing player counts the next DLC will prob be even more grindy.
Hopefully Rocksteady sees how everyone is not thrilled with this game or the dlc and compresses every season to come into like two or three episodes. One of the biggest things that angered me when I played the game is that you don't actually complete it. You beat Brainiac 1 but need to wait an indefinite amount of time before killing the others to conclude the story.
I really held out hope for this game as the years went on since it was announced and we started to see gameplay of it. I enjoyed it better than Gotham Knights, but booting it up for each new season is not on my radar.
I just want to know, WHEN IN THE HELL HAS ANYONE EVER SCENE JOKER USE A DAMN UMBRELLA!!!!! Thats the weirdest traversal choice for this character!! An Umbrella is literally Penguins thing! As I mentioned in a previous post here, I think that this may be an alternate Arkham-verse from the one we all know. I mean, even the Joker in this game is from another universe so why should we expect this Joker to be like the one we know about it? We are talking about the multiverse here. I don’t get how the people behind one of the not only best comic book/superhero but best video games period, have in my opinion missed the mark with this. I applaud them for trying something new, but wish they just made a justice league game. I’ll leave a little caveat that I haven’t purchased this so MAYBE I feel differently playing myself, but I liked the format of the Arkham series and this is very different to that. This game seems way too complicated for me which is partially what’s putting me off even purchasing it. And I feel bad as I know so many people poured their creative juices and hours and hours of their lives, but I think this game would have been better if they didn’t decide to connect it to the Arkhamverse. Just let it be its own thing.
