      Thanks! I agree, if I think the room I'm recording in sounds too small, I always try to use a hallway mic. If that doesn't work, I opt for room samples ✌️

    I was never able to get that punch out of the snare. Can you make a video about the gear, tuning and whatever you can share about that? That snare sounds amazing... Awesome video. ❤

      Hi Pedro, thanks for the nice comment! I have already made a video about processing: ua-cam.com/video/UmzbxvLZ-_w/v-deo.html
      But I will try to make a video about how gear, tuning, recording etc🤟😁

    Thank you! When adding room samples do you use the slate trigger plug-in or do you paste them and line them up manually?

    • @MIX66.studio
      @MIX66.studio  9 місяців тому +2

      I use Slate Trigger for that. Especially for room samples that works very well, because room samples don't have to be perfectly aligned to the original hits like direct samples do! While I am writing this I get an idea to make a video about a deep dive into Slate Trigger. it has so many great options that not many people use...😅

    These extra dynamic mics you have are they panned in any way?
    OR are you relying solely on reverb to give a sense of stereo imagery, please?

    • @MIX66.studio
      @MIX66.studio  8 місяців тому +2

      The single microphone is panned in the center, this should just give some depth to the recording.
      The signals of the stereo microphone are panned hard left & right. They are panned the same way as the overheads: the microphone facing the hi-hat is 100% left, and the one facing the ride cymbal is 100 % right. (As a drummer I always pan drums drummer's perspective) 😅✌
