@@evanmcgillicutty3808 Yeah but it’s not exactly like a shot of the river in Minnesota.. I mean New Orleans is built on the river delta and the shot was just illustrative of how close it is.
If the Gulf of Mexico wasn’t literally “Right There” then it’s likely that Katrina would be little more than a name to the people of New Orleans.
I don’t think it’s wrong. It would be if they said “Look at this shot of the Gulf of Mexico.
I was born and raised in New Orleans and I even laughed when they said the Gulf of Mexico, but showed the Mississippi River. Are the shrimp in the river?

I live in New Orleans and I’m shocked at how well they did in their research of the best Po-boy spots in Nola - I mean they absolutely nailed it.

@@boogitybear2283 too many places outside NOLA use Sysco bread and not New Orleans French Bread so even in Louisiana the further you get from NOLA the less likely you are to get the right bread. The Mississippi coast has awful beaches and you get vastly improved beaches and more fun when you get to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Alabama! Mississippi has casinos which can be fun and there is good food at SOME places but nothing that compares to the top tier of New Orleans level of amazing. There is certainly bad food in NOLA and sadly some places listed in this video have been suffering from consistency issues. The crime and general level of awful has certainly increased in NOLA during the reign of the current clown and the last idiot that were playing at being mayor and there has been a long line of corruption and bad leadership for a long time now that continues to destroy all that makes NOLA special.

I live a couple blocks from Guys and go to Frankie and Johnnie’s every Sunday for a shrimp po-boy. Used to eat all that Jazz from Verti Marte a few times a week when we lived in the French Quarter. You guys killed this list.
Neighborhood Eats so far has been far better than any travel food show I've ever watched on UA-cam or actual TV.

I been going to New Orleans every year since I was like 15. You got all the spots, being from Chicago, New Orleans is the best city in the world. There’s no doubt about it.

I'm representing Bimm's Fine Food, once the BEST poboys in the 7th Ward, New Orleans.....(but it ain't dere no mo'), and a po-boy purist.

I knew this list was legit when you went to Guy's. Next time check out Crabby Jacks. The owner is also the owner / chef of Jacques-Imo’s probably the best neighborhood restaurant in town. He also owns a seafood distributor in the back of Crabby Jacks so the seafood is as fresh as it gets.
