    For my V2, honestly the best steering tuning came from adding an RC Madlabs chassis plate and raising the rear with some shock spacers. That extra weight from the plate & shifting the weight to the front just keeps the steering planted much better under power than before, although it will still flip on its lid if I pull the trigger from a standstill.

    • @magnusstone
      @magnusstone 5 місяців тому

      Can it do a standing backflip?

      Servo saver needs to be upgraded on these center diff models. That increase is wheel speed to the front makes the tires jerk straight when cornering. Either way you do it (kembrough hd servo saver or modifying the original) making the servo saver stronger will resist the wheels wanting to go straight upon powering through a corner.

    • @RcPlayer-tt2vw
      @RcPlayer-tt2vw 5 місяців тому +1

      Yes servo saver stronger servo rout I went , original 2.0 , 2.5 they said was better having no sway bars , I rarely run the backflips to big and heavy , I run regular truggy wheels mostly , 2050 kv motor from 6s guys but I’ve experimented with different motors , just swapping the whole mods ,that’s what’s cool about Arrmas all interchangeable easy to repair

    • @RcPlayer-tt2vw
      @RcPlayer-tt2vw 5 місяців тому

      I don’t think the center diff did anything for steering , the width and wheel size is crazy for the factory saver and servo , faster stronger servo is everything, you don’t realize or care till you try one ,

    Is it possible to upgrade everything on a V2 Outcast or Kraton and turn them into a V2.5?
    Always love your reviews man. Keep up the good work.

    • @rcflyin
      @rcflyin 5 місяців тому +1

      I did it with my kraton v2. You'll need the centre diff housing ARA311169, the two bearings 15x21x4 RS that support the centre diff, and centre diff compatible motor mount 311192.
      Was able to find everything except the bearings on Jennys, and arrma have the updated parts diagrams on their website.

    Can't decide between the Outcast 4s 2.5 or the Tekno MT410 2.0. What would you go with. I'm familiar with the details of each. I just want to know what is going to be a better RC and of course always, the most durable and less of a headache to fix and maintain. I'm leaning towards building an MT410, but still considering the outcast if it holds up will and I don't need to upgrade a lot of things out of the box. That's always the most irritating thing about RTR.

  • @williamoleary9330

    I may have figured out the servo issue
    on Arrma Outcast 4s V2. So I turned those black guards on the front shocks to face away from the drive shaft and now it’s turning almost on a dime.
    I’ve had mine for about 5 months and the turning radius was always bad. I saw the wear on the drive shaft there those guard were so I just lifted the spring and now have them facing away from the drive shaft and now it’s awesome.
    I mean that has to be it because I haven’t changed it from stock at all.
    Let me know if it works for you and if it does just give me a shout out on a video.
    Good luck, I hope it works for you.
    🤙🏻

    • @RazorRC
      @RazorRC  5 місяців тому

      The guards are supposed to be away from the driveshafts. That's the way they come.

    • @williamoleary9330
      @williamoleary9330 5 місяців тому

      Oh. Mine were facing them and as soon as I moved them away the steering radius was instantly improved.
      Granted it took me 5 months to do it…lol@@RazorRC

    This is a great video, thank you. I have an outcast 4s in my living room, unopened because I was thinking of getting a 6S EXB vehicle instead. I can only have one, to serve as my skatepark/construction site/everything else basher. What do you think is the better choice?

    • @RazorRC
      @RazorRC  5 місяців тому +2

      Too many factors to consider, cost of batteries, your driving ability, type of jumping you want to do, what factors are most important to you. Hopefully my videos on the EXB and this are enough for you to make a decision.

    • @RcPlayer-tt2vw
      @RcPlayer-tt2vw 5 місяців тому

      Skateparks and question 🙋 definitely go with the outcast , easier to keep clean and maintain from both those environments , unless you’re on razors level driving it’s a no brainer for you jmho

    The arms remain too strong and from what i see they use the longer hinge pins now the 63.5mm but they still look rounded at The ends and rips the hinge pin bracked when the chassis breaks.. the arms needs major weakening like i did by drilling holes and shaving around of the arm mounting points to the chassis. The center diff gear starts to develop play in the slots it slides in heres either not enough slots or tolerances are off. Arrma missed the opportunity to fix the chassis and arm issue. it aint too hard to take the v1 arms make them longer and a bit beefier. Its just way too rigid

    I watched all your videos with Outcast 4S (V2.5) and Notorious 6S. Today they are almost the same price. Notorious 6S seems "better" (construction, power, durability), but this 4S series does the job. Will the costs of servicing and repairs be comparable or will the Notorious 6S be more expensive to repair due to the components used, but will withstand more and its repairs will be postponed? I have never been interested in this type of models before, but the amount of praise for durability that the Notorious 6S receives makes me choose it. In fact, since I don't have a good terrain to ride in, I have to give up my dream (Typhoon TLR) in favor of the Notorious 6S - I'm really excited about its possibilities 😉 Based on your experience, is this a good way of thinking?

      Greetings im Not Razor but ive got a Outcast 4s Today. At first i would buy an Fireteam at Sale. But my choice Go to the Outcast. Because its lighter, cheaper battery Packs and easy to repair. Great size for Backyard bash. I Hope it helps. Greetings from Germany. Razor RC great RC Chanel.

      The 4s will last longer. My V5 Notorious is in bits. The wing mount was cheese and broke easily and I have had diff issues and driveshafts bending or falling out. I'm going to get the Outcast 4s because my 4s Kraton had proven to be so durable and so much fun to drive. Easy better than the Notorious.

      Can’t be better imo , I agree I metal chassis rigs are better and Hobaoe seems like thier Rcs are closest to a Kit . Closer to kit the less practical for bashing sometimes. These things are best at what there designed for .
