You don't have to do it this hard way. You take a drill, and make a hole in the plastic, from front and put a screwdriver into the hole where you get to this piece to open the hood, ( You get into this piece from the front side instead off take away the metal cover from the backside )and slide the screwdriver to left, and then the bonnet open.
