The Seahorses were my favorite band when I was young. Use to record every MTV live sessions to catch this but never got it. Fast forward 18 years and POWWWW!!! Thank you teo bogado luraghi!!! MAN THAT OUTRO!!!!!! SOMETHING ELSE TO DO!!!!!!!!! THE LIST GOES ON AND ON!!!!!!!!!!!!
It totally dominates the song, and I think if it was anyone else other than John Squire, they'd say that it's volume is too high in the mix. It's Chris Helme's song, and I could understand why he'd be frustrated with Squire practically taking it over. All of that said, I'm a total John Squire fanatic, and the only reason I searched this up is to watch him play, but I totally understand the criticism.
My girlfriend at college went out with me cos she thought i looked like the lead singer, she was smokin' hot! I think he's called Chris Helme, whatever he's called god bless him!!! Happiest 3 weeks ever!
Woah Squire certainly had an ego issue during these years. I thought he overplayed on the album, but this is incredible. It's like he's playing 2 extra songs at the same time.... glad he's sorted himself out for the roses gigs.
sooo loved this lot, shame they cudnt get along, they could have been massive, squire was great gutarist and chris great singer song writer... saw them at U2s concert in murryfield, biggest reason i went
I was at that gig, massive u2 fan at the time but thought the seahorses were good as well. We stood right behind a bunch of girls with massive seahorses banners.
John Squire will never forgive himself for letting this rare gem slip through his fingers after hitting the jackpot a second time after the Stone Roses
Great band and awesome Singer , John Squire is a great guitarist, however I feel all the Seahorses songs are about his lead guitar / solos and not Chris's fantastic voice. That's why his playing is as loud as the lead singer. 🤔🤔🤔

Totally agree , his guitar playing is powerful throughout each song but that tune is a classic
Such an underrated song

I agree he loves his constant solos but you can't deny his writing ability, absolute genius and that a brilliant tune
@@ZeeMatrix helme wrote this song
@@ethanc1719 yeah the lyrics , I imagine squire but the music together. Great song.
@@ZeeMatrix as a singer songwriter I’m assuming helme wrote it on an acoustic then squire did the OTT guitar solos over the top
Squire is an amazing guitarist. I also though Bernard Butlers guitar on Suedes Dog Man Star album is brilliant
Squire. Genius.
Probably my favourite song ever, such an underrated band. Squire genius , and helme co wrote I believe
No Chris said he wrote this one and two others, which were allowed to be put on the album
@@junewhitney4110 oh really I didn't know that, this is the best song in my opinion
Helme wrote it before he was in the band I believe.
saw them at Exeter Uni great gig good to see one of my fav guitar players in person i loved the album too
Squires my fav guitar player shame I probs won’t see him live
i've loved this tune since they released it. Brilliant.
I love this song, I remember my old school days

Andy Watts... such a ludicrously talented guy.
What a great song! They're the best live!
Pure class!!!!!
No one has ever pulled off a waistcoat except John Squire
my holiday songs

I met Chris Helme in the late 1990s, just wanted to give him a massive hug.

His fault for being an unbearable fucking idiot
Brilliant
Fantastic
BOOM!!!!!!!
Classic!
Such a goodie
Turn it in, John, for fuck's sake.
squire is definitely one of britpop greatest musician, but his guitar voice in this song is somewhat dominating the vocals
nice!
I actually really like how melodic the lead guitar is in this song though. Rather this than some boring power chords all the way through!
Someone in 2020?
Noel Gallagher was well jealous of these, he constantly said they were just a bunch of buskers compared to Oasis!
I thinking he was referring to the lead singer being a busker beforehand
I doubt that was aimed at John squire as Liam said there wouldn’t have been oasis without the stone roses
We meet again, 240p -_-

Because he is one offer best with a guitar 🤷🏼♂️
No indie band played full on licks through out the whole song including over/under vocals!!!
