Best time of our lives - fishing on one of Billy Blacks Hatteras boats out of Walker's. Six of us and Capt. Rich Hartley charted a plane ride from New Smyrna Beach over to the island. Capt. Rich and Billy were friends and the game was on. Thought I'd die trying to reel in a tuna...that wasn't even very big 😂 Probably been close to thirty years ago now. Way before the hurricanes tore up everything. Man we caught fish, I think we drank nearly all the Morgans Rum on the Cay, took skiffs to the near-by islands...got to see Mr. Nixon's place up on a hill, crystal clear water so don't worry about that short runway...the waters not that deep on the one end 😅
