The raw and textured wall is actually amazing! I think it is cool and a bit "industrial" while kind of showcasing the reality and imperfections of a home. Such a cool story and it seems to reflect your personality quite well I think! :) For the back wall behind the dining table, I would personally put up bookshelves or something like this to give this big wall some depth. But do what feels right! Your style is amazing and you never cease to amaze us anyway!
Yes, I definitely need to find something to put on the green wall, right now it is looking a little empty, but hopefully I'll stumble upon something soon ☺💚
With the wallpaper, they only thing I can think of is boiling it down, blending it up and making air clay. Or shredding it and making textured paper mache stuff.
Love your artsy and eclectic taste infused with some minimalist and calm tones. It's a hard balance to find, you're doing a great job! Can't wait to see more room makeovers and seeing how you match decor. Makes me want to go on a secondhand shopping spree, so I need to remind myself I don't actually have a house to decorate! ;) #livevicariously
I think when you're feeling indecisive or ambivalent, soliciting opinions of others and observing your reaction to it can help you sort through your own feelings and come to a decision, even if it isn't in line with others' suggestions
My husband and I bought a fixer-upper house last year, and the amount of waste from cleaning it was heartbreaking. I knew deep down that the previous owners were to blame for so much going to the landfill (almost everything was soiled and couldn't be recycled/repurposed), but it made me feel like all of my low-waste efforts were useless in comparison. At least now we have space for a garden and our own compost heap....
Aww you shouldn’t feel too bad, like you said, it was the previous owners’ fault for not properly caring for things. But at least now you can care for things so that the next owners don’t have the same problem!
WOW looks sooooo cool. Great taste, love the raw wall and orange squiggles. Given me some inspiration to finish my house off as I have been procrastinating LOL. Peace 🧚🏻♀️
I usually tell myself that I can always just redo it if I mess it up, but so far that hasn’t been necessary, so I try to trust my gut and just have fun with it 😍
I got my first leg tattoo a couple weeks ago, and I feel so good about it. You are the ultimate tattoo goals for me, ma’am. And of course, your house looks SO GOOD.
Another cool & fantastic video from Gittemary and a well done DIY job for someone who doesn't know what they are doing. Love 🥰 the video and love 💞 Gittemary.
Depending on how the wallpaper was, you can paint over wall paper. I have done it before because I was not going to do all that work and had limited time to do so. Super jealous of your beautiful home!
The wallpapaer comes off in complete banners If you soak the walls throrughly and then grab hold of the top egde and pull slowly downwards. We always cover the flor with old blankets and sheets, and that soaks Up all tue excess water. Even a light coloured carpet didn't geht stained, although we did use a Lot of warm water to Spray the walls 5 times or more. We take off the plastic covers of the electric sockets an cover the Soecket with masking tape. We've never had any problems there. Talk about satiisfying when a whole wallpapaer banner comes off in one piece!
Some times it also did come off in these huge pieces, so satisfying, but it seems like the wallpaper was put up with different types of glue, so some of it was way more sticky than other😅
looks sooo good! i thought u were gonna leave all the walls bare and that was a no imo, but the one wall raw looks so great and shows history of the house somehow?
Is your book going to become available as an audio book? I've seen it as a paperback and through kindle. However, my life pleasure is relaxing to audio books. Keep up your excellent work x

Can someone explain to me why someone might wallpaper a wall with plain paper, isn't it easier to paint it? I thought wallpaper was for those who wanted designs on their walls. Is there an advantage to wallpaper rather than paint? Just surprised to see plain wallpaper like that.
White woodchip wallpaper is super normal in Denmark, basically all houses from the 60s-70s have this type of wallpaper, there might be practical applications of it, but visually, it was also just what people preferred for a long time.
Not quite sure what you mean with that last bit, but sustainability does not have to be offgrid. Second hand furniture, learning home improvement skills, regrowing, gardening etc - all parts of sustainable living

Uuuuh interesting, that is definitely a great idea to try out!

We in the country have a collection for construction waste that goes for recycling. Maybe you also have something similar?
That wall with your mandarine Drawing is bomb!!
That orange corner with the plant is just gorgeous! It's so great to see how you adapt this house to your liking! 🥰
Thank you so much!
Leaving the wall bare was such a great idea!! The rough one looks so cool! and omg the freestyled orange bits!!!! :D
Thank you, I am also completely IN LOVE 😍

I did that in my kitchen. The workmen left it all rough and bobbly,so I simply painted straight on it. I love the texture.
Sounds like such a cool kitchen now 😍
I love your energy! I couldn't have done a whole room in one day! Lovely home xx
Use paperbag istead or reuse the plasticbags 😊
Love the raw wall and upside down art! Beautiful job!
Love the music choices! Carry On, ABBA!

Go do it!! And paint squiggles EVERYWHERE ✨✨
The bit you painted looks soo good behind that plant! Love it!
Thank you 😍
I wish I had half this enthusiasm about something! this is such a fault video!
Could have used the wallpaper scraps for paper mache or making your own paper again maybe
You motivate me to not dwell too much on home changes and just do it, thank you :). Also I love that corner you painted with the monstera!
I usually tell myself that I can always just redo it if I mess it up, but so far that hasn’t been necessary, so I try to trust my gut and just have fun with it 😍
@@Gittemary That's such a good mindset! I'm really trying my best to implement that as well.
Get a RASOR SCRAPER next time you're removing wallpaper or paint etc 😁. They are such a time saver. Loving your transformation. So good! ☺️
I was skeptical of the concrete wall but in the end it really came together!
I got my first leg tattoo a couple weeks ago, and I feel so good about it. You are the ultimate tattoo goals for me, ma’am.

Aw thank you so much, and go you for getting your first leg tattoo, I am sure it rocks!
I so agree with you on the problem of finding good lights! It's so difficult to find nice, thrifted lights that don't look like any other Ikea model.
It is going to be a loooong treasure hunt😅
I like the unpainted vibe!
absolutely love these videos. the new second-hand table you got is so beautiful! what a great find

Really enjoying this home decorating, etc. series! Looking forward to seeing more!
6:00 My bedroom actually always looks like this. How.

Haha completely, she is so confused
Do you know anything about Lick paints? Are they as good as they sound? Thanks.
Hi! What is the brand of the paint you used?
Auro ☺️
Where can I find your book? I can't seem to find a link :(
You can find a link in the description, and you can pre-order the book anywhere you buy books online 😁✨
@@Gittemary Nice thanks!! (lol, jeg har totalt overset linket i beskrivelsen, jeg kiggede ellers flere gange efter det xD)
What is the name of the paint you used?
I know you said it was Aarow (sp?)
It is Auro, “Dark Mandarine” 😁
❤️❤️❤️
😍🧡

What is sustainable about it, I don't understand? You don't actually survive on the lot alone?
