- Easiest tutorial ever on how to convert your drill press into a lathe. I've seen many similar tutorials, but they all make it way more complicated than it needs to be. I walk you through step by step, and anyone can do it!

great job. a few things to make it safer and more versatile.
1) make a wheel plate for the back bottom plat so you can lay the lathe down and make a rest for the motor so the machine will be level.
2) make a tool rest attachment that will be secured to the table of the press, then make a smaller handle for the up/down of the table. this will allow you to move the tool rest along the piece.
3) make an adjustable tail piece that would attach to the base so you can work on smaller pieces.
overall, great job. with just a few changes you can have yourself a "new tool"
