God Bless Grandpappy and your dad. It was wonderful to see the backyard flyer in the air. Also good to know that you are still alive and kicking. To be part of such a talented engineering family and make the best wood propellers in the world. Alaina, I hope that you wake up every morning and know that you make a difference in the world and you are also blessed.
Yes, they are the kind of people that built the world. I enjoy seeing their videos, is belong a little to her family. God bless them, really deserve it.
Thank you for the outstanding video Alaina, well worth the view. It’s great to see small well designed and engineered personal aircraft in flight. I’m sure the mother / daughter road-trip was a lot of fun too.
About time we see some more videos Love your work Amd the fact you are carrying on the legacy of your dad and grandfather. Sure wish your dad would get back into to it and start producing the HP version again. Please !!!
Good evening, Alaina and family! Thank you and your friend for sharing this video! Nice flying aircraft your Grandpappy and Dad designed! I am curious as to whether or not this is the same airstrip that Dennis Brooks flies out of? He owns a Hummel Ultra Cruiser he recently finished and shares with us on his youtube channel, of his name. Lord bless all and have a great weekend!
Omgggg ! That bird is WICKED CUTE ! .. but I wonder (with that small fuel cell) what is the flying time and/or distance between refueling ? Thank You sooo much for sharing this ! 😇❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Alaina......about the gentleman commenting on using "shorts" for posting in reference to similarities with "tictoc". Not sure of his angle, he sounded lawyerish to me. Not sure what to make of it. That aside, I like the shorts as a easier step for you to connect with your peeps!
Thank you! A lot of days the shop is just too noisy and to much is going on to get good videos, so a little here and there might help make up for a lack of longer videos.

Great to see you still involved in aviation, backyard flyer was always my favorite ultralight.
Anyone else reminded of all those weird contraptions when man was first trying to fly? Who would have thought it could have been this simple and easy?
Sweet! How fun for you girls. Thanks for sharing with us!
😁
Are there plans anywhere for the backyard flyers? 😁👍👍🇺🇸
I am afraid not
Thanks for sharing this. Do you think anyone will be working on plans in the future to maybe revive this awesome backyard aircraft?
We missed you!!!

Just in time for " Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown"....became interested in these flying machines after watching the Snoopy flying ace fantasy.

Greased those landings.

(1) That wing folding mechanism is quite clever.
(2) Are those ailerons or flaperons?
Cool! I like different. It still looks like a traditional airplane, but the difference is that it's verrry minimal. 👍 And that's quite the airfoil!
Thank you!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
Now *that* is pretty cool! 👀👀

Ultralights get 5 gal and we used about 5 quarts an hour
4 cycle ultralight with a knife leading edge thick lifty airfoil. It's a class act.
Thank you!

How many planes got built before y’all stopped?
About 20
*_SWEET!_*
Ingeniously 👏
Sorry sir... I want to ask, what engine do you use and how many cc? thanks..
Thank you for sharing. I really like the trike landing gear on that one. Is your dad still making the reduction drives for Generac engines?
Thank you! And yes he is
On the wooden props what happens if you get caught in the rain dose it damage it?? If so is there a way to protect it???
It does damage it
Amazing😍😍
Would u show us how u built it
and thanks in advance❤
That would be too long of a series
@@CulverProps I hope I could help u with your content,
keep up the good work
And to think in 1901 scientists postulated that man ( or woman) would never fly
😊 so glad they were wrong!
And imagine if they learned that women were building props for flying machines.
Awesome
I want one 😊❤
