As a Mercedes-Benz sales consultant and an Allante owner I really appreciate what this has to offer. Many of the points presented here hold true in 2021. Make your customers feel special and important. Listen to their needs and make them smile :)

Of course, I don't know what they edited out, but I do like the honesty allowed in the answers for these interviews.

I invested in a 1988 Allante in 1998 for $13,500.00 which was a little bit if a chunk of cash for a ten-year-old car at that time. But considering that it was about $55K when new, I felt it was a reasonable price to pay for a car that I really liked. It was in good condition with 63K on the odometer having had only two previous owners. After working out some of the "bugs" with it, it has been an enjoyable car to own. Living in the Midwest, I only drive it in the warmer months of the year on days when there is no rain and have only added about 32K miles in 36 years. It is completely original except for the tires, alternator and a few other mechanical items. It is a fun car to drive and even more exclusive than when it was new, as there are fewer of them on the road 36 years later. Not many people even know what it is or even how old it is due to its classic styling and the fact that I removed the "Cadillac" and "Allante" metalized name plates from the rear brake lights to preserve them. The Allante has not been a car that has appreciated in value like some other classic cars, but who cares when you have a shiny sporty red convertible that makes you feel like a millionaire when you drive it?

It was 50k in 1990 lot of money! Not a bad looking or riding car!

How exactly can a video be "rare"?

    • @ENDTIMEsVideoLibrary

Some videos are out of circulation so their very hard to find out in the public any more.. Especially when they were not Mass Produced for public sale.

pretty much any sales video or any other video intended for training, manufacturing purposes are rare because they were not intended for public release.

The moment it's on UA-cam it isn't rare anymore, but before that..

One of the Worst cars ever

it was not a bad car but poor value for the money. The car was assembled halfway in Italy shipped by air and the rest assembled in the US. Talk about an expensive and absolutely inefficient manufacturing.
Cadillac would repeat this mistake with the XLR roadster, the only difference being it was entirely built in the US, yet the price was so expensive it didn't bring enough buyers in

It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Definitely not a high point for Cadillac.
