I don't understant how your shelters are enouth for winter time. In winter wind doesnt blow from just one direction and in some cases it would paint the walls with snow. I had a small building that had a small opening in one wall besides the door and the eaves under the roof where missing. First snow storm painted with snow even the inside of the roof , the goats were wet and shivering , the grownd was wet and snowy, they had no where to sleep, all over night. I am from Romania. I had to move them in a difrent building .

The wind in my ranch only blows up or down canyon so it only blows from the sides. So luckily I don’t have that issue.
