    Surface tension is a scalar quantity. But in video you said it is a vector quantity. Any explanation?

    But Sir the molecules inside the water will attract the molecules on the surface so there will be a force in downward direction😖😖

      every liquid drop in contact with the surface molecule will attract the molecule
      this means both the surface molecule and the bottom molecule both will attract the given molecule
      since there is no water above the given molecule the resultant foce will be in downward direction

    Excellent explaination but the surface tension is a scalar quantity though it is tangential.(according to pardeeps it is a scalar quantity because it has no specific direction) it think ur tongue slipped sir but otherwise thank u for the explanation

      surface tension between two molecules has a specific direction but for a bucket of water it has no specific direction
