I started using Super Clean a couple years ago.. It was suggested by a different UA-cam creator. It is not cheap, but I can tell you the stuff works better than anything else I have every used. I clean my grill with it, and it surprises me every time.

I agree, the ph scale that it is on is insane! It's very strong, that's why I am being careful with it. I have always been a huge mean green fan, but this seems way stronger.

I am surprised that your 170 does not have the wrenchless chain adjustment. That is a game changer. Makes for adjusting the chain a snap. My MS 180 and MS250 both have it. My MS 180 does not have the snap and turn fuel and oil caps like my MS 250 and my MS 390 both have..Love my Stihl saws. I did an interview with my Stihl dealer and that video has been the rock star on my channel. Blows all of my other videos away in numbers. Good job on this video Andrew. Glad that it has warmed up for you. We are expecting a winter storm up here in Iowa tonight. Calling for 4-8 inches of snow and high winds. I have both the L2501 Kubota and the John Deere 2520 all ready to go when the storm breaks.

    • @TKCL

I actually prefer the wrench chain adjustment, my father had a 180 with a wrenchless adjustment and it was always coming loose. It kind of scared me away from it and I like the idea of two nuts holding the bar versus one. Be safe in that winter storm, we're supposed to get rain tomorrow and it cools back off.

Just spent the morning cleaning and servicing a Stihl MS 261. I used the SuperClean cleaner and degreaser for the cleaning part. I am very satisfied and impressed with this stuff. Sprayed it on after taking all the covers off let it sit for about 15 minutes and wiped it clean. For the hard to reach places I switched the sprayer from spray to stream and flushed the oil and grime out. Followed up with compressed air and another wipe down and it looks almost new. I would have never tried this without seeing your video. Thanks. I highly recommend it

Excellent! I'm still learning the product, but it seems to be the strongest degreaser I've ever used. I just got some bybthe gallon to put in a sprayer for my boat cleaning.

Side adjusters are a great addition. Both my ms 170 and 180 both have side adjusters on them. I clean my saws after each use. Sharpen them, too. I put a set of metal dogs on my ms 170 and 180 right after I got them, along with the side adjuster.

I put a new China carb on my 260 Pro las week. I set it up a little rich and my tach said 12,450 when I later tacked it out. I am putting the original Stihl carb on the 024 AVS that I am now restoring. I don’t dog my saws, like some, so I really don’t need an adjustable H jet. My 260 cranked up and only need a slight adjustment with the new China carb. I am not spending $100 for a Stihl oem carb. The correct carb diaphragm set is K20-WAT.

Super Clean is a good degreaser. When I use it to clean sensitive areas of my saws .I take the saw into the kitchen and rinse it off with water via the sink sprayer. I usually use a cheap paintbrush with it on the heavy spots. I do not like leaving it on the saw, which is why I rinse it off with water.

    Super clean is good stuff
You really don’t need to dilute it unless you’re working on something sensitive like car seats or something like that

another great video andrew! saws look great, if you’re ever looking to clean the flat sides of the bars a wire brush on a drill works great, i’m sure that super clean would get the bars looking pristine also, not sure if it would strip the grease out the nose sprocket though, also a very small flat head screwdriver is great for getting the crud out of the groove of the bar, i’m definitely going to have to pick me up some super clean!

If just limbing and cutting the occasional storm damaged tree, the little Stihl ms170 is nice. It's definitely not made for bigger jobs.
