Forget the blue marlin - that museum looks like my version of heaven. It is beautiful.
Archie, you ain't kidding.
Been there but its more of a one time thing
MR five same
@@meg7415 lol
Looks better than the ones in D.C.
"Glycerol"
The British have Jellied a fish, again for some reason
looks better than jellied eel tho
Right on the edge of being a grander. I'm so glad this was not a harvested specimen, and more and more of my fellow anglers are tagging and releasing these fish. I just wish she was in all her color glory here
-'blue'- yellow marlin
no where near of being a grander. I've caught a grander black and a few blues over 700lbs and that fish looks to be around 750lbs.
Tag and release is the way to go, especially with the satelite tags not just rolled up paper
A museum is basically a bunch of dead things displayed in a way that we don’t get disgusted
So is a living body.
I read your comment and said /woah/ then I read the other comment *double woah*
@@ursulageorgeson7086 looks like you missed the keyword dead
Wrong. A museum is a place to store disgusting things so its normal when you see disgusting things there.
@@lewisarcher3916 hundreds of thousands of cells die in our bodies every second so no, they did not miss the key word

The tank is like an optical illusion. Really trippy when I looked at it
that's what happens when light goes from a low density medium to a high density clear medium.
man you are high
I saw the real thing in person
@@still_guns good for you, I'm so jealous
That museum looks so goddamn gorgeous.
I would love to visit the museum when the pandemic is over.
I'm really happy when he said "Kilos" not "Pounds"

Only the US use Pounds. Everywhere else, KG.
@Hairless Xoloitscuintle idk what part of Mexico you know but I know most places go by kg.
For some reason I use pounds and Celsius

The natural history museum is incredible. I went a few years ago and i was in awe. You need to spend a whole day in there to appreciate everything because there is so much
The specimen looks a little rough....
dbenson31 now its being displayed in a museum. Such a sad creature
its dead
It died due to natural causes...
ho knowes howe long it was dead before the found it on the beach and a healthy wouldn't die like that
I think its awesome. Its a sign of respect. Look at this powerful creature, understand it.
Preserve a Blue Whale next!
It wouldn’t even fit in the building let alone preserving it
With a bigger building problem solved
If anyone doesn’t understand that this is a joke u need to rethink ur life
PotatoMasta don't tempt me with a good time
They have a whale skeleton specimen hanging in the roof.
Not sure if it's blue whale though/
My cat looks at the screen with it's tongue out.
Me too
cat:i want that
I've been their and have seen the marlin in person. It looks awesome!
Denis lucky
Absolutely stunning...and what a process. I really wish to visit this HAVEN one day! Great job to the museum operators!
Mud to water story.
He traveled far to be on the street of mud, and finally became a model or should I say super marlin!
I didn't know glycerol was safer than Isopropyl alcohol I'll keep that in Mind.
Silver Turtle Studios I don’t know how alcohol can be unsafe anyway (?)
Gerardo Salas I think the alcohol will actually change the colour of the specimen
BTSoutcast has me stressed oh interesting. Didn’t think of that, hehe
alcohol will burn like crazy/explode if heated
im guessing its not as much of a fire hazard
That's so cool, hopefully will get a chance to see it in person.
CHILLS... THE MUSIC AT THE BEGINNING GAVE ME CHILLS. BEAUTIFUL :)
Was really great to see this on display at the museum!
Great job! Terrific effort and a very good decision!
Bravo!
What a wonderful display.
I’ve been there like most people, it is exactly what you’d expect and more!
The start of this video...I thought for a moment, is that s resin pour? lmao 🤣
I saw this in person a couple months ago, it looks like an absolute beast ngl, coolest fish I’ve ever seen
I want to go there! So beautiful and amazing.
I went there! It was truly amazing :)
I wish I could there! I'm so intrested in History, animals And the fact to see real things, anything, that lived so long back. Even modern things like that Marlin that I don't get to see.
Its so cool that I actually got to go see this.
Wowwwww I want to go to that Museum it's beautiful in there. 😍😍😍😍
OMG! I love your mueseum! It has been a huge part of my life and I love it! Everyone who can't get there, try to go to both the science mueseum and the natural history. Last time I went Dippy (that's the affectionate name for the diplodocus dinosaur) was on tour. I really advise going.
It is an amazing specimen and a great feat of preservation, but, sadly, so less shining and beautiful than a live marlin. It does however give a glimpse of how large and powerful these fish truly are in life. Great job.
"It's the heavist we moved in the museum"
Dinosaur bones: Are you kidding me?
Did the bones have meat on it when they moved it in?
It's my dream to visit the NHM one day! If only I had enough money to pay for the trip...
Great job!
Watching these videos takes me want to visit the museum...
If you do ever get the chance take it. I went around it for hours
just amazing
I don't know why I click these videos...but I love it anyway
You are done really a nice work for coming youth generation ♥
Wait extinct and extant? I actually laughed out loud 🤣 I had no clue extant was a word until now. Wow, I need to go back to school. I actually thought it was maybe spelled extanct 😂
They don't teach you that in school 😂
@@garlicmuncher LOL.. Okay good. I don’t feel so dumb anymore 🤣
@@garlicmuncher they do. I learned it in year 8
Love the night at the museum ost
🐟una obra de arte los felicito.🦈... .
I remember being there seeing that preserved Marlin
I was there that fish looks great
It’s so amazing I how big some animals can get like that good damn thing is 4 meters and like it’s so cool man
Been there last year! :)
Damb thats the most amazing thing I've watch ❤
Awesome
Oli is a legend!
very cool
Intresting
I'm from France i hope i can manage to see this museum i depict a lot of paleofauna but extant species are also an inspiration seeing this marlin in real would be amazing especially for seeing how the skin fins and all are in real when we talk about paleofauna everyone think about dinosaures "ice age" mammals pterosaures and marine reptiles but there a Whole Lot more beyond it that's why i love it so much
*S P E C I M E N*
ay i saw that guy when i visited 2 years ago. Hes pretty big.
Coooll
i was thinking they just toss a fresh one in everyday
Omg hope someday i could be there
_That's_ good museography
I really do miss the Natural History Museum.
U know i went to the museum with my school and i recognise looking at this specimen and now i feel weird looking back at the fish on a video idk why

I’m glad all the animals are acquired ethically.
What is the music being used at the beginning and end I can't find it anywhere lots of UA-cam's use it can someone help??
I went there that year, and saw it, its bigger than you'd think.
To see, National History Museum will be always remain a wish Of my LIFE☹️😟😢
The future of earths animals is in the museum
I've caught a few blues down in Costa Rica
get me a hotel near the museum!!! I'm here to stay the night!!!!!
wow nise
Never knew they grew so large
It looks like it's got dust. But a really interesting method.
Hmmm... interesting
“It’s fragile in certain parts of the body” cut to bondage mummy marlin being moved at the speed of a drugged sloth. I think “fragile” is an understatement
Thats a huge fish 😗
Exactly why i'm Single Now, My ExStanked lol
Nice
I never realized how absolutely massive blue marlins are
epic

Like all the animals at the museum.
That museum looks like the Croft's mansion. I want to live in there lol
🤩
Take a shot every time someone says "specimen"
😵
👍👍👍
These are the actual things a spinosaurus would eat
This is the 2nd one to visit us this side of the ocean... I wonder why
Heaven indeed...nice thought...starting to have specimens of extant animals before they are extinct..which will surely be.
that fish is pale though, better be preserved when it's still in it's original colour
Well you'll need to kill a live one to get a better specimen.
It was washed up in Wales. It is pale because it's not always very warm there. Typical Marlin: poorly packing for foreign holidays. Now the kangaroo... A whole bunch of travel necessities in that pouch of her's.
Dope
Could use fake eyes? It looks like a ghost fish
@@Spas122 woah no offense but that sounds like a promising short story 👀
@@user-eq2tp1gz1r Night at the museum?
How hard was it?
If nothing else, I learned a new word today
So what happens to the gases trapped in the body once the glycerol diffuses? Does it just slowly blubb out?
“and what it will do it will equilibrate”
me: yes equilisimate ✍️
🥶🥶omg how long is the blue marlin
Could you explain glycerol please m'love?
I thought it was a damien hirst's exposition when I see the fish
