I think most of you know this by now, but in case you don't... Clara Oswald is probably my favourite character in existence. I'm not sure anyone will ever compare to her. I can't say for certain what exactly draws me to her more than others, but it does.
Five years ago today, she died on our screens. It was pretty much the only time I have ever cried over a TV show/movie (the only other time being the Merlin finale). So, yeah. I guess I just needed to make a fitting tribute to her. I can't believe she's been gone for so long. It feels like it's only been a few months.
I find it so difficult to edit her properly. Gathering the scenes is generally no problem, but putting them together? Her story is so complex and layered, I never know how to order things. Everything connects in one way or another - figuring out a proper order of parallels is extremely difficult. And no matter how long it is, it's never quite long enough. Therefore, these videos always turn out as a major mess, and this one is no exception. I'm actually quite proud of the second half of it, though. Which is kind of ironic, because you'd think the lyrical part, which got me to edit the song in the first place, would've ended up in better shape than a bunch of random sounds.
Anyway. Happy death day and almost-birthday to one Miss Clara Oswald. You will be remembered, at least by me.

I think the reason the Doctor loves Clara so much is because she's been involved in each other's lives for so long. As in, because of her jumping into the Doctor's timestream, she encountered several of their incarnations and helped the Doctor find the right TARDIS. They are bonded throughout time and that's why they are so connected to one another.

i can't express how much i loved this edit, it portrayed the doctor and clara's relationship in such a beautiful and complex way, it was so heartbreaking but at the same time amazing and now this is definitely one of the best videos I've seen.
Clara is also my favorite character of all time, too! So wonderful to see others appreciate her as much as she deserves. DW isn't the same without her. This is beautiful, powerful, sad, lovely, incredible! 💖💖💖💖

IT'S BEEN 5 YEARSS!!!! She was my companion when I started watching along with the 11th Doctor and 12th Doctor. I miss them. This video is beautiful such emotion, the relationship between her and the Doctor. Ughh miss them dearly. ❤️😭 She was the best companion imo.

The fact that the music is sad and heartbreaking but also upbeat and makes you remember that clara was such a colorful and energetic companion. This was just so stunning 😭😭 I could have tears coming to my eyes one second and then be like awe she was also the sweetest. The parallels omg, the fact that it has been 5 years and I still ball my eyes out over some of her parallels just shows how she effected all of us. My favorite companion as well and will be hard to beat. I miss her so much omg

I can't believe it's been five years already! I remember how nervous I was from watching the episode trailer, because I knew Jenna was leaving and I really did not want Clara to die. She also is my favorite character - well... female character. I felt connected to her curiosity of the world, urge to travel and adventure and I admired her bravery, intelligence and kindness. Sure, she made mistakes, but that was so beautifully human that you could understand her actions every time. This video is a beautiful tribute to her, thank you so much for sharing this! You did a remarkable job and I'm so happy that I could watch this! You are really talented!

Doctor Who hasn't been the same after Clara. It makes me so sad to think what they've done to the show. I love this video. It's emotional, heartbreaking but also beautiful. This...I'm...The scenes, the song choice- the emotion...The pauses, the scenes how you showed their entire relationship how deep you showed it to be...I never thought I'd see something from this universe that would make me cry. However, this one did. I'm speechless, mostly. That ending just sealed the amount of power in this video. Thank you for this, beautiful tragedy of a relationship that goes beyond well everything.

This was so good! A true masterpiece. I actually got goosebumps. I love Clara too and I never understood all the hate she gets. Her relationship with Twelve was one of the most complex and fascinating in all of DW.

Your Doctor/Clara videos capture what made them one of the greatest love stories I've ever seen on television. The song choices, chosen quotes, and parallels are perfect. Also, it's so hard to find good Clara videos that include Eleven for some reason, I think their connection is overlooked since they don't share that much screentime together but they had a rare chemistry since their first scene together. Thank you for making THE best fanvids of my favorite companion!
