Hi! I will be applying to nursing school at UNCG soon and I don’t know if you’re still looking at comments but if you are, could you tell me about the application process at UNCG? Like what kind of things was the application asking for, do I need to have my TEAS score submitted together with my application, and did you have to do any interviews for UNCG. Your response will be greatly appreciated!
Hi! I still look at comments. Honestly things have probably changed so much now since I graduated in 2021. The teas from what I remember it was recommended you take and pass it before you submit your application. That way you’d have time to make sure you passed. That maybe have changed. I didn’t have to do a interview. I was really connected to my counselor at the time who helped a lot with recommendations. I’d recommend reaching out to one of them who could talk to you more about the requirements and what they recommend currently!
Hey! Thanks so much for sharing your story and your advice. Congratulations on making it into the Nursing Program! I’m a freshman at UNCG and I’m a pre-nursing major. I was wondering if you could maybe make a video on what you used to study for the TEAS test?
@@jewelscouture_ hey im a senior in high school and i just got accepted to uncg's nursing program i have soo many questions lol but what do you think so far?
Hey girl! I am so happy I saw your video! Im waiting to hear for UNCG’s acceptance for nursing school next week and I can’t express how anxious I am 😭 can I ask, did you enroll in any CNA classes?
I just applied at UNCG with a 3.53 GPA and an 80 on the teas but I got a C+ in anatomy and anatomy lab (last spring so when covid hit) :/ do you know anyone who got a C and got into the school? I’m really nervous and those C+ grades are the only thing holding me back from priority admission 😭
I don't know anyone personally that had a C and got in but honestly they may still consider you because you have at least a 3.5 GPA and passed your teas. They may place you on the waitlist which is what I had the first time. I know someone else that had a similar GPA and she got waitlisted and got a call that she got accepted. It honestly depends on the competition of applicants for the year! I honestly would not give up because it is only one minor thing and not multiple. Not sure who your advisor is but I would defiantly rely on their input about it because they usually are honest especially if you have Phillip. Best of luck!
@@jewelscouture_ I have Philip but because it’s such a weird application year with covid he isn’t sure what will happen. He said it’s possible I could get in or get waitlisted. He just isn’t sure :/ but thank you!
Hello does the TEAS need to be taken after your first year at UNCG like when you are in Health Studies or pre nursing or do you need to do it before applying to UNCG on the whole?
Within the pre-nursing major. Most people take it after they take anatomy & physiology. It is required for you to apply to UNCG nursing program which is a separate application from general admission to the actual school.
@@jewelscouture_ Thank you for your response! I retook the exam today and got an 82.5%, will I be able to get into UNCG's nursing program with that score and a 3.26 GPA?
Great job on the teas and honestly like I said in my video they are very competitive and all I’ve known is that they expect at least a 3.5 GPA and higher tbh. I hope you do tho!
Yes! My GPA the first time was a 3.54 when I applied and the second time it didn’t go up much it was a 3.58 GPA. However usually they want higher if possible to be more competitive.

Yes I did! I recommend this early!!
Did u turn your application in person ? I see that it’s paper format
Yes I did but I think some mailed it in. Not sure if they will change that since covid.
Great video very helpful

@@Miya3000Stacks I did not. According to my advisor, My C+ in my anatomy class is the reason I didn’t get in :/

Ok thank you can you share some resources you used during studying for nursing
What score did you get on the TEAS exam the 2nd time?
I ended up making an 80. For me I was happy with that. I will post a video tomorrow about things I used.

Hi could you go over your studying strategies for the AIT TEAS?
Yes! I will post a video tomorrow about what I used to study for the teas and how it was helpful.
