The Prada jewelry is beautiful. But like you, we have a preferred jeweler for fine jewelry. I have a diamond necklace that I got on my 40th birthday, and 24 years later, it hasn't left. I'll add other necklaces, but this never comes off.

We went to this nice restaurant in Eugene called Rye, we had been there before and enjoyed their food. I ordered a salad to start and I was digging in and saw movement… a worm 🪱 yup 👍 a worm in my salad. They were “well, at least you know we’re organic!” And then they said “since you didn’t really eat the salad we’ll not charge you.” … 😳 gee thanks.

I totally feel the same way about dining out. Good service is definitely a craft that is unfortunately lacking these days. I worked in fine dining when I was in college & knowing the business, can't stand lazy or rude servers.

I attended the same event in NYC last Fall. I had no idea I had a private appointment. I loved a few pieces but price per ounce, the gold was very expensive. I like the idea of the traceable gold though. I did drink the champagne 😉 and purchased the black loafers with rubber sole. They are so good

I’m the same way about jewelry. Many years ago, maybe 25 plus I decided to stop buying costume jewelry as it was getting expensive. I decided to invest in single pieces I could wear daily. I’ve since worn the same bracelet everyday since. Also various pairs of earrings.

regardless of service/decor, if a steak house fails at rare/med-rare/medium (the most common temperatures to order) than it's definitely not worth recommending.

The way the manager handled it was the issue in my view. When a manager comes to the table it should be to resolve not to argue. Period. Bring a new plate. End of story.

On the restaurant, maybe give them a couple of months and go back for appetizers or dessert or something. Not for a full dinner - too much commitment after first experience. Hopefully that “manager” will be gone and things will be better. Just hoping that a nice place that’s close to your home can “iron out the kinks”. If you do go back after a couple of months of operations and they still suck, definitely have to let ‘em go. Have a “pawsome” Mother’s Day!

That's too bad about the prime restaurant. We have prime restaurants out here in Ohio which are really nice. I'm curious if they are related or not and the ones we've gone to were super fabulous.

Ugh a similar incident happened with me and my friend at an expensive restaurant that we looked forward to for a month. It spoiled the whole night, and everything felt awkward and embarrassing even though it was not our fault. The restaurant should have been embarrassed! Thanks for sharing :)

I rarely hear you say anything negative about products or places, so that restaurant experience had to be poor. It's sad to hear since we all want to support businesses in our area, whether it's a restaurant or clothing boutique. I hope the restaurant's owner(s) take note and make some corrections. If not, they will close soon. Word-of-mouth publicity can make or break any business.
