To prove that elementary school kids will dance to anything, I slipped the DJ a few classic game show themes and this was one of them (the other one was "Blockbusters"). Some of the parents caught on, and the kids just kept jumping and dancing until "Cotton Eyed Joe" came on next.
This is Charlie O’Donnell speaking for Tic Tac Dough! A Jack Barry Dan Enright production. Due to a technical issue, the bonus game was replaced and the program edited for broadcast.
I wish they would use this theme music for the new version of Tic Tac Dough with Tom Bergeron as the host, I think that would be SO COOL, and have a set similar to the original set that was used on the Wink Martindale version of Tic Tac Dough
From the ABC Television Center in Hollywood, it's everybody's game of strategy, knowledge and fun. It's THE ALL-NEW TIC TAC DOUGH! And now here's our host, LINDA GRAY!
I was wondering out of all the big money winners who had the worst record against the dragon? I think Kit Salisbury took four tries to win at the bonus game.
It's some kind of synth with plenty of backing by horns, sax, guitar and/or piano, and percussion. Two possibly three synth tracks: the melody, the claps and another track with synthesized "squeals". Elaborate and nicely done.
This music is awesome, and something about it gives me the creeps and anxiety at the same time. Hard to explain.
Maybe that high, twittering synth?
Jim Caldwell took after Wink Martindale left for the 1985-86 season
Get the Tic, and the Tac, and you get the dough. But beware of the dragon!

Many lines of coke were snorted before this theme was recorded.
Synthesizers were a new thing at the time. As was Bolivian's finest export...
What do this and VD have in common? A lot of CLAP!!! Sorry, but I just couldn't let the opportunity pass!
No more than many OTHER B&E productions...

I heard the Dragon wanted to renegotiate his contract and Jack Barry rejected his offer.

This game show also had their versions in Australia, Germany, Honduras, Indonesia, Spain, and UK.
I was too young to watch Tic Tac Dough, but I love "Crazy Fun." (Yes, the theme song is called "Crazy Fun."
Always liked this show better than Jeopardy. Wink Martindale is the MAN!
Fuqin' theme song is money..! You can goose step to it ..
I'm Jewish, so I don't know about the goose-stepping, if ya know what I mean. LOL. But I do agree---one of the best theme songs EVER.
BANGER
great game show. it just wasn't the same when Wink Martindale left to host the game show DEBT and he was also an animated voice on The Jetsons.
Debt came much later. Wink left to host Headline Chasers.
Jim Caldwell was not a good replacement for Wink. Bill Cullen would have been better.
GSN IS bringing back this show
Is coming up in August and who’s going to be new wink today
FROM TELEVISION CITY IN HOLLYWOOD IT S THE GAME OF STRATRGY KNOWLEDGE AND FUN IT S TIC TAC DOUGH HERE S OUR HOST WINK MARTINDALE
