I used to listen to CKLW when I lived in Mt. Clemens, Michigan from 1977-1982. At that time, it was a "Music of Your Life" station playing the music of the Big Band Era and pre-rock-and-roll 1950s music. In the evening, they would play episodes from the old 1930s and 1940s radio programs. Loved it.

I was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and grew up there. I remember this song when it was new, back in the early 1960s. That city isn't so much to boast about, now.

As much as I like this show back when back when I was a kid I used to like the Rolling Stones song, Paint It Black. But now that I am 41 years old right now I like this theme song better and here is my reason. I like the second theme song because it has an oriental sound to it and it almost sounds like it can be fit for a Samurai movie, a Ninja Clan movie or a TV or movie show set in Japan.
