Arvo Pärt: Symphonie n° 3 - Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra - ARTE Concert

- Born in Estonia in 1935, Arvo Pärt composed his Symphony No. 3 while in the throes of a creative crisis. To free himself from what he saw as the impetuous Western avant-garde while also escaping Soviet regime censorship, he turned to the music of the Middle Ages and immersed himself in Gregorian chant and pre-Renaissance vocal polyphony.

Восхитительное исполнение любимой симфонии. Спасибо!
Quelqu'un peut m'expliquer pourquoi, si le compositeur n'a écrit qu'un seul opus, la symphonie porte le numéro 3? Merci d'avance.
Arvo Pärt has written 4 symphonies.
It doesn´t sound like Pärt, but I know that Pärt also has an un-Pärt period.
Oh, that's great news. What years were those - his un-Pärt period?
@@herculesteyn2396 In his early days Pärt hadn´t yet found his special way of composing music. This is the Great News to you, my friend.
@@herculesteyn2396 Everything before 1976. This composition is one of the only two works (and only one which survived) produced by Pärt in the 8 years of meditation from 1968 to the discovery of the Tintinnabuli in 1976. Another great piece of Pärt's earlier period is his Credo in 1968, right before his hiatus.
Вот это поворот..
