      Looking through my analytics I see when I’ve made videos longer than 4 minutes people stop watching. When they stop watching I’ve wasted my time putting together all this great info. To be able to get all my info out I break my long info videos up into two segments to allow people to digest the info better and not let their minds get bored while watching.

      @@jbb8261 I wouldn't call it judging a whole population. A majority of people reacted in a certain way, so what should you do with this information? Cater to the 5% and lose your audience, or cater to the 95%? Sometimes it is best to stick to that quality 5%, but there's no shame in wanting a bigger audience.

    I have nothing against this place, but in general, I don’t like watching a movie where food is served. It’s so distracting how many times people get up and down for refills, and to eliminate the 3 beers they drank. I just want to sit down and relax with no distractions

    I hate places like this that have servers and food like a restaurant in movie theaters. Can’t people go 2 hours without stuffing their faces with a full meal? You’re there to watch a piece of artistry in film. Not to be at a restaurant. It already used to frustrate me to have someone munching too loud on popcorn in a container as large as a horse’s feed bag. Now we have to have servers strolling in and out in the middle of a movie, or hear the clinking of plates or silverware? I’ve stopped going to a couple of my local movie theaters that I went to for over 25 years because they converted to this, and a a few other new theaters with this concept have already been built. I went to college for film production, and now my choices are very limited for just a regular movie theater, that isn’t a restaurant, that only emphasizes great picture and sound. Cell phones are still a problem as well. A few years ago a child was playing games on his cell phone about 3 seats to my right. It lit up the whole theater, and I couldn’t even concentrate on the movie it was so distracting. I leaned over and gestures for him to put it away, and his mother scolded me for it. As if I was in the wrong, and it was perfectly normal. Most of my theaters near me too now have assigned theater numbers, and make you pick your seat off a grid. Well unless I’ve been in that exact theater before, I have IDEA where I wan to sit, according to the screen size or slope of the seating. Once I have figured that out and want to switch my seat, the seats I DO want are taken. But beyond that, even if I know exact seat numbers from a previous visit, around me the “swath” of about 10-15 seats that I like will be snatched up and sold a hood 2 weeks in advance. So I can’t just spontaneously go to a movie anymore, unless I want to be way over on one side, way in the rear, or two seats from the front. I’ve tried complaining about this to theaters for years, but they act like this is what people WANT. I used to see a new movie in theaters every week for months at a time. Sometimes twice a week. It was like my second home. But now because of these things I’ve gone to literary 3 movies in the past 5 years, and it’s hugely contributed to my depression.

      @@MovieUniversity Just trying to speak up for the people who don’t like this concept, or there will never be any change. On the flip side of the restaurant/theater concept, and assigned seating, I will say that I do very much like the technological advancements in audio/video presentation, as well as a new theater chain being around when so many people are just watching movies at home now. I only wish a more traditional theater that still has state of the art audio/video technology, and great architecture like the theaters of old, could come about. Without the “buffet”.

    • @katstorm13
      @katstorm13 Рік тому +2

      I'd think after going to a specific theatre once or twice you shouldn't really have a problem knowing which seat you want in advance. Theatres with restaurants are few and far between. If you don't like this experience, go to a different theatre.

    • @cgimovieman
      @cgimovieman Рік тому

      @@katstorm13 I made notes on the seat numbers that I do like in a few of the theaters I’ve always gone to. But the complexes I go to have 20-24 theaters. So figuring out numbers for every one of those is difficult. But even if I do, the seats that want are usually the ones everyone else wants too. So I have to decide to see a movie and buy tickets about 2 full weeks in advance. It’s just ridiculous. I’m usually in the mood to see a movie in a very specific time, the day of. Not even one day later. I used to just walk up the day of an hour or so before showtime, buy a ticket, walk in, and pick my seat. That’s totally out the window now though. And most of my theaters now have huge recliner-like seats that vibrate, and I can’t even touch my feet to the ground sitting in them, and a million ads even before the movie starts. I just want a normal seat, to be able to sit in silence before a movie starts, and then maybe just have 3-4 previews before the actual movie. God do I miss that. Everything is a big hot mess now.

    • @katstorm13
      @katstorm13 Рік тому

      @@cgimovieman I hear ya on some of those recliner seats. Some of them are so deep I'm tempted to bring a small pillow to put behind my back. We're fortunate enough to have a really good theatre (we're going to try Alamo for the 1st time because we're house sitting near there) that has an upstairs section that is 21 and older, so unless we're going to one of the fathom events of old movies we always sit there.
      Personally I like pre planning, I can get anxious deciding things on the spot. And if we go on discount days I sometimes spring for an extra ticket, so I've got boyfriend on one side and an empty seat on the other lol
