Crazy flight and the more I watched the more impressed I was with the camera keeping up with the plane. Well done! I'm tempted by this plane but my Ultrix refuses to share it's batteries.
Hey Jon, I’m thinking about getting the Spektrum NX8 because it’s not much more expensive than the NX6, but do you think it’s worth it to just buy the NX10? I’m asking because there are less models out there that actually benefit from the extra channels - at least that I plan to purchase and fly. But the added features like the extended battery life and upgraded joysticks sounds great. What do you think?
I have used the NX-8 for over a year and upgraded to the NX-10. Gimbal wise, I can’t tell the difference while flying. I know in the long run the NX-10 gimbals will last much longer and will continue to be more accurate. I did have to loosen the tension on the NX-10 gimbals to my liking. I also haven’t had the need to use the two extra channels. But, there is a huge difference in battery life! I fly almost every day in my front yard with my micro helis and on the field on weekends. It is so nice not having to constantly charge my transmitter or worry that I forgot to charge my transmitter on a Saturday morning before we head out for hours of weekend flying! The peace of mind was worth the difference to me!
@@JonsRC That’s very helpful thank you. I thought the gimbals would feel much better but you’re right - they will last longer and that’s great too. The battery life peace of mind has me convinced to get the NX10. It’ll last longer with each charge than the 6 or 8. Thanks for your opinion, I’m glad you’ve tried both! I might as well buy the better transmitter from the start. Big fan of your channel and the honest reviews. I’m just a beginner pilot but I’m learning a lot about the hobby.
Hi! I personally would not recommend this as a first time model. This model is geared more towards the intermediate or advanced audience, with it being more agile and maneuverable. The gimmick of this little bird, the differential thrust, can be quite unpredictable at times and could throw off your sight and orientation of the airplane. I would personally go for a model such as the Hobbyzone Sport Cub S2 or Hobbyzone Aeroscout S as a first plane. Happy flying!

Thank you! My dad was the cameraman and he told me afterwards that his shoulders were killing him trying to follow the plane! 😀
Hey, that was trick flying with those sticks, absolutely "bad-ass"!!
Thanks!

What’s your our opinion on how the UMX twin otter flys?
She is a winner! She is definitely a fun flyer!
Nice flight, can this be for an intermediate pilot?
Thanks! Yep! This plane is meant for the intermediate pilot!
@@JonsRC tks for the response!!
Would you recommend it as a first time buyer?
