@Jasper Cash I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
nope thats false. opinions dont make universal facts. the ls and coyote and even the hellcats sound better than these. modified exhausts arent country of origin creating that sound. a factory engine with an aftermarket exhaust isnt japan winning anything.
I’m an exhaust science guy and I can’t believe the trumpety 350z 6 sound this thing makes, it’s glorious, a smooth v8 with just a tad of rasp, but loud refinement everywhere else. This is my favorite car.
That just made it so much harder to go buy RC. The sound on those turns hell yeah, can hear the torque. Best ISF ive ever heard easy maybe even best na v8 ive ever heard. 👏🙌👌 Nothing but likes exactly what it deserves.
@@barfly246 because of rarity and the 11-14 models got many improvements over the 08-10's. Also, it's interesting that the ISF put down better times stock or modded vs RCF with same mods be it drag, roll, or race track. I have never had an RCF beat me mod for mod. Best way to explain it is ISF is 50% performance and 50% luxury, while the RCF and GSF seem more 40% performance/60% luxury. So if you are looking at a $35-50k RCF, a $20-40k ISF can do the same, with cheaper parts and insurance, not to mention being much easier to own compared to AMG or M3 past 100k. The market for a 400hp+ daily drivable sedan is a bit wider than a coupe, and there's not that many sedans with this power that are cheap to own. That being said RCF is a great GT car, just less practical and heavier and the TVD repair out of warranty is a scary price.
Performance people will always smash these cars. The IS RC ETC aren't made to be track weapons despite what lexus categorised them in and weighing big up to 1.8T but... they are a more emotive car. Looks killer, enough power on the roads to get in trouble and luxury to boot. I ended up with a RC f sport only and don't regret it. It breaks necks with a few mods and enjoy all the beamers and mercs flexing when feel threatened close by hahaha.
Definitely a great looking car and a proven platform! Nice to see the went the opposite way and offered it for cheaper with less F parts, allowing plenty of room for track upgrades.
@@cot998 full setup headers and bazooka catback? Lol yes it will be loud, just bazooka catback with stock manifolds will be great and tolerable. Now if it's a weekend car, that's different and for sure will be a lot of fun.
Damn those “VQ35” down shifts are amazing. Unequal headers for life! They make everything sound better. Edit: I know it isn’t a VQ35, it just sounds so similar.
Looking at doing something similar with my Jaguar XFR (5 litre supercharged V8) Currently have some amazing sounding back boxes (Spires stage 2) but need a resonator delete next and hopefully UEL headers after that.
Idk if it’s the video or what. But i swear i feel like my F with PPE headers and Joe Z doesn’t sound this deep/raw. Unless it’s just because I’m in it 😂💯
Thanks man! Drone was honestly pretty bad, I added two small resonators but they only helped maybe 10-15%. I've since put the mufflers back on. Would be fun for a weekend car, but for a daily driver it was not too bearable. I'm sure I could have found better resonators or some trunk padding to help, but I just wanted to have zero headaches on way to work lol. IMO the Borla+bazooka is best without headers or with catted headers.
RR Racing is a vendor that makes and sells a lot of Lexus ISF and other aftermarket parts. They sell a Bazooka which is basically a muffler delete with nicer "real" quad tips that attaches both to their catback RR Racing exhaust and the Borla catback, which replace the mufflers with these muffler delete pipes. They also sell a similar version with magna flow mufflers and also real quad tips. This Bazooka setup paired with my PPE headers was very loud and droned very much but sounded fantastic. I moved on to a valved muffler design which lets me have best of both worlds. You can check out my most recent video.
Any emissions where you are at? I just picked one of these up and wanted to throw a set of headers in. With my Camaro and mustang we just tuned the cat sensors out so no check engine lite and passes emissions. I don’t know a whole hell of a lot about these isf’s like my domestic cars.
Greg Baca either O2 conditioners or the RR Racing ecu flash tuning will mitigate the CEL issue. In addition, the tune will hone in more top end and smoother mid range powers.
