Love your videos. I'm looking to get this model. Do you have to have that antenna sticking up out of the body? What if you just rolled it up and kept it under the body? Would you still get decent range?
Own a Maxx Erevo 2.0 and Xmaxx. Is this somewhat durable, do not really jump my RC's all that much; just run them into mailboxes. Also how is the maintenance workability/servicing on the 1/16 scale compared to a 2.0?
Lol I hear ya' 😅Have ran into plenty on mail boxes! Funny enough, this is one of the few I have that I have not broke it yet. It is not driven daily, but it has it's fair share of bashing on it. As far as maintenance, I would say it's similar. I will say it is a little more difficult as everything is tiny compared to the 2.0. Are you getting one? Hi, Yes it is stock. This is one of the few RC's I have that have zero mods. It runs the same now as when it was new. It's a little on the expensive side for a 1/18, but it easily out performs any other 1/18 or 1/16 I've had out of the box. I have never changed the diff or shock oil to date. Very happy with it. Far & away my favorite 1/16 scale basher :) The VXL is a beast. It really comes down to budget. If budget is not a concern, the brushless is awesome. @RCInsiders
When you do big jumps with it, doesn't it bottom out? The arms also look very fragile. I jump my vehicles and was just looking at buying this revo but was worried about those issues.
Hi, I haven't done a ton of jumping with it, but with high jumps it did have some minor body slap. With smaller trail jumps it did fine. I've had it for a while now & haven't broken the arms yet. I've been through 2 sets of tires & they are still good. In the 1/16 world, this has been my favorite. When I hit the skate park for big air, we always go with the MAXX. What's your favorite jumper? @@RCInsiders I just got back into RCing after a 20+ year break. My favorite jumper was my T-max that I did a dynamite .26 conversion on. The only problem was that the gears could not handle the power and I would replace them every 2-3 runs. The original revo came out around that time which I bought but shortly after, I stopped. I still have the original revo in almost perfect condition. I am currently changing my t-maxx to electric which is nostogic and fun but is costing way more than I expected. lol

So far, it is way faster than the other ones. At this point, my fastest rc was the haiboxing 16890a. This beast leaves that one in the dust. I am installing lights on it, because we do some driving at night. I used 2s and 3s batteries on it (using a converter on it). I bashed my HBX rcs a lot. I am hoping that this one will do even better. Did I mention that this one is way faster than my others? 🤣

@@RCInsiders I'm finding it a bit overwhelming. There are so many options; oil filled shocks, brushless motors etc. I also looked into some of the Hosim trucks on Amazon and the price point is appealing but I just don't know if I trust the longevity and product support.

With brands like Traxxas, I know if I brake something or need something it's almost guaranteed to be at my local hobby shop. Brushless = more power = more money :)

@@RCInsiders to be fair it was about 45 degree out and tapped my sons car against mine at about 10 mph. thats all it took. its still crazy to spend 200 to 300 and then have to upgrade so many parts. might as well have bought a other jato or even e-revo or rustler 4 x 4... just don't want my 7 yr old to handle lipo batteries as those are a greater danger.
@@ramos.nitrorc Agreed. The 1/16 E Revo has never had durability complaints. I have ran the crap out of this thing in all weather.. including sub zero & it's still running & all original. Sorry to hear about your issue. Let me know how it works out?

Is it all on stock here? I am looking for some small model while in travel, but I need sth durable. How often do you change him shock and diff oil?

Yes it is stock. This is one of the few RC's I have that have zero mods.
It runs the same now as when it was new.
