  • This is a video where I am constructing some lace eyebrows, it is the first time i am making them and I already know what to do, still some strands didn't really stay flat on the lace but it is not something that can't be fixed.
    I hope she can wear them without a problem and I wish eyebrows is the only problem that she will ever have in her life!

    I have many family members with cancer. I have spent many days at the cancer clinics. We also participate in American Cancer Society fundraising. I realky appreciate you helping out the cancer survivor. I don't have cancer, but dont like the false lashes sold in the stores. Therefore, I was collecting my shedded hair and fallen lashes. My late husband thought I was crazy. lol You're a very specially gifted person.

    As a professional hair stylist, my advise on cutting the eyebrows, is to cut them in the direction they grow. & possible use a thinner rather than scissors. try that! =D Good luck!

      Well I wish my own hair turned into custom eyebrows could cure cancer, but at least it can bring some easiness in her struggle and put a smile on the bad days.
      And as I said I hope no hair or eyebrows are the only problems in her life after she wins this battle. I'll cut off all my hair to make her 100 pairs of eyebrows if she needs it in the future!

      +Lace WigsLtd Thank you honey, I live in Greece which is so far from the people that are willing to take classes. Most people interested in this art are living in northern Europe or USA and Canada so it is a distance too big to meet in person.
      But here is my youtube channel to show people what can be done.

    I watch you videos all the time and you do great work. Being a hair stylist myself I love what you did but I think had you cut the hair going in the same direction of the eyebrows it would have cause for the hair to lay on top of each other, instead of cutting against the direction of the eyebrows which cause them to stick up. I love your work either way it takes a lot of patients!!!!

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  9 років тому +1

      DaViciousOne1 Well the strands sometimes wanna stick up, it is the way lace gets stretched when you ventilate, some knots just don't want to get altered when they get a grip of the lace, these strands flew even when they were long before i cut them, but long hair can easily fall into a direction because of pulling, tension and gravity, these shorter versions though just found freedom to fly up!
      I am sure they will be able to fix it!

    I would think that bleaching knots around the forehead area on a lace front wig as well would be a good idea for someone with light skin. Is this common practice?

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  9 років тому +2

      Josh Latham Yes we thought about bleaching the knots in her forehead but since it is her first time wearing one we decided to leave it like this. Her hair dresser ( Elisa Huffman ) who commented below can literally do the job if needed just in the hairline, but I think heat sealing the knots here and there is pretty much the best way to keep the unit tidy

    I really like I that you made them bi directional. I would like them to be multi directional with the start of the eye hair going up and like a natural with the hairs going back and in and arch. Eyebrow hair is similar to eyelash hair. Eyelash hair curve up on upper lid down on lower. Brow hair curve in an arch but flat. Can you knot the hairs to mimic the curve of a real brow or lash hair. That would make a perfect brow if it can be done. I wear brow wigs and have not found any that really mimic how the hair on a brow is shaped and I think that would make a huge difference. Also I have not found a glue that works to my liking and I live in a very hot and arid climate for at least 8 months out of the year. So glue would have to be sweat resistant and oil resistant at least to a degree. I am just learning this art of wig making. I think that you have a great talent and hope to become skilled in this art as well. If you can suggest some things that you may have for suggestion I would love hear it. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial and very kind of you to send your client the brow gift I'm sure she liked them a lot.

    This video is exactly what I need! What kind of lace are you using for these, again? I want to make sure I'm going looking for the right thing!

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому +3

      +ToastAndJellyfish I used denier 30 swiss lace for this one, denier 20 could do but it would be more fragile.
      I would do it with coated lace next time I have to make brows because the normal lace will fray with usage.

    • @ToastAndJellyfish
      @ToastAndJellyfish 8 років тому +4

      +Super Wig Maker Awesome, thank you so much! I thought it was denier 20 but I'm glad to hear that I can use denier 30 instead, because I worry that I would completely destroy something that fine. I'll make a note to look for coated lace, too. :)

    Thanks for that one, this is a really interesting point. When you make a lace for somebody who has chemotherapy, you use the same type of material?
    I heard about thin skin and stuff like that.
    That would be really informative, what kind of cap etc for any medical lace?
    Thanks my wig guru :)

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  9 років тому

      Emma well thin skin is easier glued to the skin because it is a solid base to be stuck. also they usually don't have knots in these units, they have a V shaped loop in the skin which will not hold the hair firmly so it will wear out faster.

    Hi! Where can I get this lace that you show in the video especially for eyebrows? I'm new in this field, I only make it for myself so is really hard for me to find the right materials. I tried to find it in your website but I'm not really sure which is the one that I need especially for the eyebrows because I'm trying to get a really natural finish. Can you please help me with a link where I can purchase this? Thank you so much!

  • @abawitx
    @abawitx 9 років тому +2

    God bless for this. Do you have a bleaching video? I have had trouble bleaching my knots on dark brown lace and off black hair color. The color is difficult to lift and the lace tends to bleach better than the hair lol. I have dark skin but the knots are still fairly visible. Many thanks.

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  9 років тому +1

      +abawitx Well my lace is not bleachable, it is nylon and it is pre-dyed. I think I show how I bleach the knots in the latonya hairline video.

  • @Aniretak94
    @Aniretak94 9 років тому

    What kind of lace did you use? I could not understand what you said.
    My sister has alopecia and she is trying to make eyebrows from her old wigs that are made with real hair.
    As you understand she will be wearing them for long time.
    She would also like to have false eyelashes but the glue goes straight in to her eyes since there is nothing to adhere to.
    I would greatly appreciate any information you can give us.

    Maybe curl the hair first??

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  9 років тому +1

      Alexa de la Muerto I heard of it, you mean curl the hair going inwards so it will cling towards the skin right? I should have tried that, but the eyebrows were too short in the strands so I doubt any curling would be present!

      Well I am a human, sometimes we say phrases like "what the hell" I don't mean to insult people, it is just a phrase and everyone pretty much has acquired some sort of bad language that is used in some weird cases :D
