You can prevent getting locked out of your truck. Get a Guitar string (G-string) loop it at the top of the door slipping the string through the brass button on the string. Leave it a little loose. Connect the other end to the lock stem on the passenger side. Besides wrapping it around the knob and twisting the end, cover it with some JB Weld. Now any time you forget your keys and accidentally lock yourself out, just pull on the guitar string and open the lock.

I come from Switzerland, a small country. But when I saw this amazing truck on the road, my mouth dropped open. And last but not least for the safety of others, the digital cameras for the left and right side, installed as rearview mirror monitors, are phenomenal

How do you get up and clean the windshield?

Peterbilt just feels like it's years behind the competition. Absolutely nothing about this truck is revolutionary. And a lot of it feels like cost cutting and lazy design

I find it ridiculous how the driver can’t be inside the warehouse to view how the trailer is being loaded. I used to work at a warehouse and some forklift drivers could care less how they loaded a truck.

How much fuel can you save by makıng the mırrors a lıttle smaller LOL!! vısıbılıty ıs everythıng on a truck specıally at nıght a bad move by Peterbilt. also Cummins is way better engine than the Paccar as far as longevity and reliability coming from a long line of truck drivers. I would flip a coin between Detroit or Cummins, Cat engines are to expensive to rebuilt but its up there with the best. Volvo engines are to problematic as far as omissions, sensors and electrical more than the rest I would definitely stay away from them.

We’ve a a 2017 Epic package . PACCAR engine. Love the Truck! It had 480,000 miles when we purchased it. Now 1,179,990. No problems whatsoever. Pulls like a beast, and doesn’t use any oil. Has no oil leaks. 30,000 mile oil change intervals. Always OEM FILTERS.

If they would just make it a 280” wheelbase that extra footage would be easy !

Absolutely nothing new. The interior is so basic and bland.

Missing passenger-side access to under-bunk storage is a big miss - yah need it for those gettin' back to in-front of home stop's, when/if that happens...lol. Reduction of mirror size is just plain ridiculous - do these guys want to lose me to a Kenworth Next Gen? Some doubts are entering my mind about where my bucks are goin'.

You are correct except for the steer axle weight limit. Steer axle limit is whatever the axle/tires are rated for. Most new otr trucks have 13200lbs steer axle capacity. Meaning you can go up to 13200lbs on the steer. You are still limited to 80k gross. Most new trucks weigh 12k on the steer bobtail. Also, some dump trucks have a 20k steer axle weight rating. You can find that information on the doors, or B pillars. Volvo is driver side, Freightliner is passenger side door
