Kevin Hart is not a real stand up. He has writers. That's why his stuff doesn't resonate with me. He's funny and all but he's just an actor.
Not trying to downplay what you’re saying but the “writers” are his friends that he help put on, it’s not like he has a team of writes like for a tv show
@@ThommyMckGoaty It's some friends. Some professional comedy writers. But it's not the same as other comedians who write their material and then go on tour at small clubs and work out their stuff until they feel it's ready for a special. It's not the same grind. So you don't get the same product in the end. It comes off more like a sitcom with a laugh track rather than just good comedy. This isn't a knock on Kevin Hart. But he is what he is and that's not a stand up comedian. He's a funny personality. I like him. I'm from Philly so i even like him extra, but he's just not even top 50 when it comes to stand up.

The reason it's not funny to you is that you lack the experience of life situations that shaped the generation before you. It also doesn't help that you guys have only seen small parts of his comedy's.
Kevin Hart's comedy is cute....Not really funny. Too much cute self degradation. His punchlines aren't harsh or edgy enough.
