We will be in Tortola in an upcoming cruise, and we have an excursion scheduled. It looks like between the shops at the port and then the outdoor walking area. It looks like it would be a long walk to where buses could actually be waiting to take people on the excursions.????
We are on celebrity cruise and we’re supposed to have stopped in st. Croix but they are now diverting us to Tortola. This will happen in March and they have already changed our destination very early we don’t set sail until march 20th interesting we are already getting diverted. So they pull into Road Town I guess this is typical for most cruise ships. My question is are there any beaches near that area or fobuou have to go else where or is this just a tourist trap type of place
I don't know for sure if there are beaches near by but one the things I remember about Tortola is that it's very steep so if there are beaches they wouldn't be very big. You don't get a landscape that goes gently down to the water. I hope that helps.
If you have a passport it's super easy...small line and they do facial recognition so it's fast. Much slower if you have a drivers license and birth cert.
Tortola has changed a lot since I first went there in the mid 1970s.
I can only imagine.

It's actually not that far. I don't think you'll have a problem walking from the ship to the area where the buses are.
Good video, we'll be there in September! thank you
It's a nice cruise port. I would definitely take the time to go into the town next time. I think it's called Road Town.
Me too
Do you recall a Pandora jewelry?
@@kathyweber3730 I don't remember seeing one. I checked Pandora's website and they say the only store they have in the Virgin Islands is on St Thomas.
@@limitlesstravelfl thank you for checking for me.

Where are the best beaches near Road Town
I wish I was there long enough to get to the beach. We just did some shopping in the port area.
I hate this town square, nothing there. I don't even get off thete anymore if we leave at 3 pm or so
I wish were there longer. I remember the back on board time was really early for a cruise port.
Why.
how is the inmigration process?? please
Are you talking about the check in on the ship? If so, it was as smooth as any other port
@@limitlesstravelfl I mean when you get off the cruise ship. It seems like you don't have to go through immigration? how is the proccess? thank you
