I lived and worked in the BVI for 3 years also in Barbados and PR. Place is amazing. I used to rent an apt above cane garden bay called the Johnny hill villas. I build the Cable TV system while there.
Hey Jason, thanks for the comment! its amazing how much you put into the island and also being able to stay there for a long period of time. what was your favorite thing to do?
Well I am sure a lot has changed since my last visit. I lived there from 98- end of 2000. I lived above CGB so Quitos and Myetts were always fun. Bombas on the full moon was a good time. For food I liked the weekend nights, in town and all over locals would turn a parking lot into a food area, like now what we see with food trucks Favorite beach’s are White Bay in Jost, the Bathes in VG and CGB and Josiah’s Bay on Tortola. Not sure if it still there, but on the ridge rd above Brewers Bay there used to be a little outdoor bar called Rudy’s Outside Bar. We always stopped for a rum punch in the way home.
hi from germany, i am a great fan of stevensons treasure island, you may lay to that. he mentions a spanish port and savannah, usa. there is a chance he has visited the british virgin islands
unfortunately i didnt see any handicapp accesiblities to the beaches. I could be wrong as the beach can be pretty big with another entrance. how ever the bigger ones like cane isn't too far from the parking lot
I'm a Filipino, I would like to work there as a finishing carpenter, but I'm afraid because I have no idea what's in Tortula, what life is like there, if there's rice like here in the Philippines, and how to socialize with people there, especially since it's my first time to work outside the Philippines.
Take me to tortola
