    Well done !! Listen to your gut feeling everytime you're in this type of situation. Smart move to go down. You'll climb it another time under better ice conditions.

    Pozdravljen Andraž. Uf, kako me je zagrabila nostalgija.Pred kratkim opazil tvoje posnetke. Ko sem gledal tale video sem si rekel, tole pa ne bo šlo, ja nekam " švoh" sneg. In res se, čez nekaj časa odločiš prekiniti vzpon in za "abzajl". Pametna, pogumna in pravilna odločitev. Želim ti še naprej tako trezno glavo in kanček sreče, ki je potrebna za takšne podvige. Uživam in obujam spomine ob gledanju. Srečno.

      Hvala, me veseli ko slišim kaj takega od plezalcev/ alpinistov starejše generacije.
      Srečno tudi vam!

    improvement and the right attitude, i like what i see and i prefer you alive ;) ... solid improvement compared to the free solo under sketchy conditions.
    But what do prefere, your hand on the rock or this type of gear climbing?
    Great vid, smooth climb and smart decisions.

    Hey Andraz, great climbing video. What about the gear (anchor rope, pitons) you left behind? Will you go back again to collect?
    What I'm trying to figure out is Can I trust the pitons put on by someone else?

    • @andrazegart
      @andrazegart  Рік тому +3

      No, I won't go back to collect them. So other climbers can use them aswell.
      Whenever you find pitons that other climbers left behind you have to test them with you hammer if they're any good. With a few hits you can quickly judge their stability. If they're solid and not too rusty, then you can ofcourse trust them. But if they're wiggly or rusty, then it's best to take it out and replace it.

    Do you prefer to leave pitons instead of nuts?

    • @andrazegart
      @andrazegart  Рік тому +1

      Yeah ofcourse. They’re cheaper and here in the Alps you can much easier find a piton placement.
