I love how the reason why ABD became popular was not because of it's combat or graphics but because it was goofy and fun. Sure it may not have YBA's insane graphics and doesn't have the pvp YBA has but the silliness of the game was what made it different from all jojo games being created today, it was what made ABD special. I still miss the friends, memories, and the fun i made while playing the game. Still the best Jojo game ever.

Honestly the thing that set project jojo apart from all the other jojo games, even till this day, is just the amount of unique stands that no other jojo games ever even attempted to make. Project jojo will always hold a special place in my heart because they made EVERY stand fun to use, even the low tiers were fun.

About Egoist, it's not that the blue lock hype died completly. You can see for example neo soccer league averaging a few thousand players at any given time, Egoist died due to the lack of updates and basically almost no major updates happened to add something new aside from maybe one or two updates

I remember DBFS, ABD, Project Star and Boku no Roblox was literally my favorite anime games, though they're forgotten but the memories won't.
As an abd veteran i loved playing that game with a burning passion. I miss most of the funny combat and tournaments that where heald.
To clarify on why PJJ died- the game’s coding was incredibly outdated and messy, as stated by the owner himself. Mlg stated that it would be impossible to update the game in its current state and would need a complete overhaul in its coding, leading to no updates which led to the game dying- not because of the balancing.

@@elitejc3039Truest words ever spoken. The fun came from experimenting with multiple fusion builds and doing millions of damage. It felt good seeing big numbers until damage system got "revamped" and it sucks. You can still 1 shot but it doesn't feel the same anymore😢

Seeing anime mania on this list had my jaw dropped. Glad to see other people like Techy remember the game, since it was really fun despite the bad graphics lol. I remember me and my friends in the lobby, glitching out with Katakuri and other characters to use abilities in the lobby (which you couldn't but we found out how), and also going to the place where we saw the assets load and even the gacha screen. Good times 😔
I know the game died off but it was still fun during release nonetheless because of its simplicity (Although Starrk was absolutely broken throughout LMFAO)
But I haven't heard of the game that much after the Demon Slayer update though xd

they released a broken half assed one piece update with glitches and bad characters, reduced the gem and gold rewards for every farmable spot, added a game pass to set them back to their original values, then dipped and never worked on the game again

As a sb2 contributer i can say Swordburst 2 definitely isn't forgotten, it's not as popular as it was before but right now it's over 1.5k players and still receives updates to this day and has it's own community still and for some is even preferred over the upcoming sb3
agreed although floor 12 and balancing after floor 10 is an absolute disaster. all you do in that game is afk for event items and afk mini bosses or farm for such a rare item to craft a t3 burst
ABD is one of the reasons why i started to play roblox in my sister notebook back in 2020, it was magical, the fun, the mao, everything was just diferent from any other jojo game. I will never forgotten what i did experience here back them

ABD held and still holds a special place in my heart, I personally started playing in 2020 without even knowing what jojo's was, something about it just kept pulling me around until I started to understand the basics, it sadly died because of AUT's rise and the lack of care for the game, one of the main reasons were SPOH being obtainable and the OG owner leaving, truly sad as I loved that game so much.
Anime legends is definitely still being worked on, one of the developers talked about the complete revamp they did and the game is very different and totally redone from the trailer they released.

Demon Journey was my first ever Demon Slayer game and to this day i still think is my fav now, it didn't die ONLY due to new games but also because i remember when Stone Breathing got released basically the game was broke pretty much, for many players like me Stone Breathing didn't work NOW if you try to play it you will find basically a zombie of a game cuz it's "playable" but incredibly broken by bugs and other stuff also no one play it obviously.
Amazing video honestly i felt incredibly nostalgic as i pretty much at least TRIED all of these games.
3:19 YBA came out way before that, i remember playing it near abd's prime but it kind of flopped after the tusk update
Anime Mania was actually REALLY fun, but it was it's imperfections that lead to it's downfall. Anime Warriors was also really fun, but.. pretty much the same reasoning as anime mania.
There's also anime online, which I still find fun, despite it's problems. The devs, like these 2 games, had a good thing going, and blew it.
I used to play One Piece Bizzare Adventure (OPBA) a lot, the PVP fights was fun and entertaining, even maxed out on stats you wouldn't gotten bored.
I still remember that player who had an overall ~250 stats and had fun fighting with me, who was maxed out. The guy did maybe 40% dmg of my hp.
But the game died because the game was closed for an update. Stats were raised from 500 to 750. For some reason, the game closed again and reopened by Jumbuu for 1k robux so people could play it early. But... people thought they were scammed by him and decided to mass report him, getting him banned. He tried to do a comeback 2 years or so later with OPBA 2, only to get banned again and losing all his funds, thus giving up on the game in the end.

Around 2 years ago i used to play a lot of SL2, now that they changed the name from Shindo to SL2 again got me curious. I started playing again and oh god if you get into the game its so good, i dont even like naruto but SL2 is just peak imo.

@@TechyOP_ same cuz my favourite childhood roblox games were final stand shinobi origin and 1 and beyond sb2 etc. so for sl2 to randomly drop out without knowing anything and playing with 4 of my friends for me is why sl2 was the peak roblox game of all time with final stand so for it to switch instead of naruto to shindo just broke my heart and i never played it again -some update checkouts

This video reminded me of the good old days when I was a kid. I played DBZFS, ABD and tried some other One Piece related games at that time. It's so fun back then but now, there is only memories. I sometimes comeback to these games to feel the nostalgic of the lockdown time.

Actually, DBOG WAS NOT FORGOTTEN. Sunny is currently working on a MASSIVE update that has indeed taken a while, but its getting closer and closer and will be out SOON. I believe it will make a HUGE comeback when sonny releases the update.

You kind of forgot to mention Reaper 2, the first popular Bleach game that I know. It didn't present any sort of content, but it's progression and quality was extremely dope. The two reasons why it sort of died out was because of Project Mugetsu's release and Reaper 2 practically having no other content than PVE and PVP. The good part is that Reaper 2 might get revived thanks to the more consistent and frequent sneak peaks. Lately, it's got at least 2k to 3k players every day, so one of if not the liveliest 'dead' games.
Another Bleach game would be the aforementioned Project Mugetsu. Project Mugetsu was dropped because of how p2w it got, and it now sits at 50 - 100 players.

One Piece: Final Chapter, peaked 10k players, now has none
One Piece Bizarre Adventure, peaked 20k, now closed and forgotten.

final chapter was so good, if it was less grindy and it was easier to get dfs it would no doubt be the best one piece roblox game
steve's one piece, dragon ball online, boku no roblox, and shinobi life. that was my childhood right there
Another thing to add is that Anime Mania lied to his community with 3 of the new characters, wich are Law, Ussop and Kidd, those 3 looked so good in their respective sneaks, but when the game released. . . That 3D Clothing and those amazing effects where just throw to the window, and Law is bald and none of his moves worked

The biggest problem with project Jojo was how they just randomly deleted all of our hundreds of hours worth of progress in order to fix the code to really start to update it, which wouldn’t be a problem, if they actually gave us some of our progress back instead of just expecting us to grind daily just to get back to the point we were already at

I still remember when project jojo and abd used to rule the jjba category and were and still would be the MOST fun jjba games to ever exist . They didnt have proper combat or anything , just goofy and fun pvp to play with your friends . Most jjba games rn cant even CHALLENGE those 2 games on the fun scale .
Abd and pjj were super fun because of how easy there were to play you can join get arrow and you have a stand with all the moves and enjoy unlike other games where you have to level up just to use an arrow

I still have many fun memories from abd and made many friends there. Grinding for stone masks, dio diaries, jumping dio and funny valentine, chatting with people, running the 1s at the soccer field, mugging the hacker, were all things that made the game fun and got me to stay online for hours at a time. Such a great game where i just vibed most the time had so many interesting upcoming updates that saddly never came through. I honestly still miss the game sometimes and hope to see another game like it one day in the future.

Alot of these roblox anime games really highlight the magic of earlier roblox developer determination. Sure these games don't amount to the crazy looks and game play of newer games. But it's the nostalgia and fun times that's what makes them better. That developer magic just got lost. As there aren't that many anymore that make games to truly make people laugh and be happy. But instead to just get a huge cash grab out of players by having a shiny new game upfront to trick them into buying something.

I think a universal time had a massive downfall as well, it went from a very hyped game with over 100k players to a buggy mess with around 4k players. It is making a comeback however so, maybe it will go back to its former glory?
With the addition of "Unobtainable crates", "UF," "Mythic skins", im not too sure about that, since its become heavily one-sided with its value only, the pvp sucks albeit and it is NOT fun, if thats how you see with it only the Economy keeps it alive right now, and the complete overhaul of pvp and the way it works was a bad remake to it tbh, even though it IS rising, i doubt it'll comeback to the former glory everyone remembers it by, we can still hope though
as someone who played the game right when it launched, well, somewhere near then, i can safely say old universe was WAY better than what we have now. when the NU update dropped, the game lost everything that made it AUT. old AUT had such a nice "homemade game" feeling that really set it apart from ABD and YBA in its early days. the poor yet fun graphics, large map, tons and tons of specs and stands being added is just a fraction of why its much better than current AUT. current aut feels like a cash grab, ive tried coming back in october of 2022 and obtaining the valentines day skin for D4C, but it didnt feel the same as AUT.

I admit that ABD updates were mid but due to lack of developers and lazy devs they cant do better
Most of their updates during 2019-2020 were really quality tho such as TA4, Samurai, D4C:LT,...
Sadly it died due to lack of both updates and moderation causing exploiters to appear more frequently in the game, they either ruin the fun or just playing around with their scripts
ABD is really dry now and only has around 40-50 players at once
i remember when they added LT for d4c, it was such a hype update and samurai was really fun to grind for, attacking random chill groups in the map and seeing their reactions... nostalgia

a one oiece game is probably my number 1 game and its an incredible game, they always do crazy updates, the attacks are super cool and i get it if people quit the game because it has no tutotial and doesnt show you how to play and thats why you need another person to play with you, but once you get an island tracker you can go visit all the islands that you want and its truly a good game

I only knew one dbz game in roblox that I keep playing back in the old days, it was dragon ball z final stand made by the same creator of Blox fruits, literally any skills and beam attacks you get after leveling up can be a part of your every combo, there's also super saiyan evolutions including ssj blue and God.

I remember this AOT game that i played and i was really good at it but i noticed after 10 days of playing the game each day the player count would go down by 100 - 200 per day and after it died completely it would sit at 30 - 89 players a day and stopped updating
After around 4 months of it being dead it updating and now sits at 200 - 300 players per day
idk what bro was spitting on heroes ultimatum it got so popular because it was fun as hell progression quirks and pvp and pve were satisfying and extremely well made, aswell as the quirks that they had

Another game was forgotten is world seed which was supposed to be the sao of roblox but we never get to play it cause it was still in development even got to the point where the people think its a myth considering they didnt announce when it would release nor give a demo.

Fun fact: boku no roblox was the game that made my friend group back then, some ppl i knew was interested in it so we started to play, and we are very good friends to this day. Sadly, we dont play bnr anymore since you know.. it has nearly no updates
