Designed by internationally renowned Qantas Creative Director Marc Newson, his furniture and lighting create a small and intimate space with low divider walls, defining each space into smaller areas. It feels top end, while also a classy way to start a journey.

They really needed an interior designer to do this job.
I love the retro flight board - I used to go to LHR Term 3 (when that was the only Intercontinental terminal...in the late 70s) to meet either my dad or one of his US friends (he worked for a US company and went there a lot which was quite unusual in the 70s...) - and I totally loved the old boards, their messages (on final approach, landed, baggage in hall) and the chacketty chack as they updated. Just the words intercontinental and final approach started my lifelong love of travel and aviation. Love these reviews - it seems all the lounges are in a constant battle to be the best adding whisltes and buttons that actually maybe aren't that important to people. What's important to you in a lounge? (silly question for Lounge Index - the bar!) - but really, what is important?
I've done lounges, and I've done pleb travel. The bits I really appreciated on the ground were: Quick and easy check in, fast track security and preboarding. The lounge and free champers was nice but it wasn't for me the make or break. Intersted to hear other views on this -

Is there some international law against having some comfortable chairs / sofas in airline lounges?
LAs flagship lounge is great
