Overcome hardships? Really? He's a working class guy, with a thick accent to match, who trades cars. Big deal. Of the hundreds of UA-cam content creators I've watched. I've never seen anyone feel the need to do a self promotion video like this, or have one done for them.
Is he on UA-cam purely to promote his business, or satisfy some need for external validation that acting won't deliver?
I don't begrudge him any success that he's achieved by his own efforts. But don't make him out to be something special.
The lad has done well for himself.and is now a successful car dealer.and do believe he does sell good quality cars.he lives and breathes cars but he's a boring bastard soon as he mentions Range Rovers he puts me to sleep and when he's nursing a semi if say a Jag xjs goes past that's when he sounds like a boring bastard who you'd avoid in the pub as he can only speak of 1 thing car's.
Hes spot on about selling cheap cars to people with no money ,they winge the most .Easier to sell a 50k to someone with money than it is to sell a 500 quid car to someone with no money

The title is absolutely terrible. It makes it seem as if it's dodgy and deceitful. This is a great channel so please change the title or you would not actually open it because you think it will be negative. Give it a praise worthy one like you did so well explaining in the video

I have watched High Peak Autos for some time now and love it. Highly entertaining, polished presentation and great information. In fact he is so good at what he does it shows just how difficult it must be to break in to mainstream TV and film.
Not sure of the relevance of his life before High Peak Autos. His videos are excellent and accurate. I have followed his advice on my latest car purchase and has been spot on! Keep the videos coming Matt👍
High peaks kerb appeal is the fact that bullshyte mainly goes out the window,you get reasonably good information on cars you get a bit of banter and Are left with grin like a Cheshire cat ,always worth a tune into 🤙
One of my favourite UA-cam channels. I love watching from South Africa as we have quite a number of similar cars and can relate.
The title of this video is somewhat misleading though. Matt's openness and honesty did not lead me to believe that he is hiding anything or had any dodgy secrets. But, having said that, your video gives a very well balanced view of Matt and High Peak Auto's. Well done.

Matt’s content is great, never gaudy. His dialogue is brilliant, cheeky, and he’s an attractive person overall to simply watch.

Love the HPA channel. not so much your misleading title which gives anyone who doesn't watch the video the wrong impression.
I find Matt inspirational. His videos have encouraged me to follow my passion in life. I now buy and sell cars and boats for a living.
I enjoy his videos but they get boring, like a quarter of the video he just sits in his car, talking about the sponsor. Then he looks around the car, and shows no detailing or him fixing cars up.
Why then do have any interest with his videos?
A hard working and honest UA-camr. Matt is inspirational. Been following his channels since the start. Brilliant vlogs 👏. Very entertaining and informative. 🙏👍🌞
I think I was one of the earlier followers - he only had about 20k followers when I came accross his videos. I have always admired the panache & humour which Matt injects into his presentations - personally, certainly think that this country has missed out on a very talented actor, howler, it has gained by having such knowledgeable and informative content which provides the rest of us with a lot of information about cars and the business of trading second hand vehicles. Most of all, he has made it clear that dealers are not con men, and most of them work hard for a living.

Been watching #highpeakautos for the last few months (now a subscriber), and think the channel and videos are great. In fact, have decided my next car might be a Jaguar XE after watching a couple of Matt's videos on them.
Love seeing the used cars he's bought and/or taken as trade-ins and what state people trade them in like. Also like the follow ups seeing how much they cost to sort out/tidy up, and/or how much he sold them on for.
Keep up the good work, Matt.

its the best car channel on youtube imo. Car throttle used to be my favorite but since alex left its rubbish. (its like the old top gear minus Clarkeson) plus the videos hardly come out. Alex is going solo but flailing around to try to find a winning formula.
Matt on the other hand has worked hard to find a winning formula and is sticking to it. Its so watchable, really well edited and the content is spot on. I love the cheap cars but also the more expensive ones he mixes in. A few months ago he toyed with a cameraman but it felt a bit scripted (even though it probably wasnt) and he rightly binned that idea
The work ethic behind high peak autos is remarkable....first theres running a car dealers (so buying and selling). Then theres making the videos before editing them,. However much he makes from social media is well worth it...literally earning every penny through hard graft
Matt is clearly the best in the business when it comes to cars.

As we all know the second hand car market can be extremely dodgy, and it is great to have someone like Matt #highpeakautos to give you confidence. I live in Ireland, and if Brexit wasn't a barrier for me wanting to import a car from the UK, it would be from High Peak Autos because for me watching Matts fantastic videos, Matts the main man when it comes to buying a second hand car

I think Hugh peak autos is a great channel & being a Scottish guy in my early 50s I know about buying & selling though I have learned many things from watching his channels especially the. I do not actually mind the English at all and have lived in London south east England’s well as the Peak District, Manchester and Lancashire & Yorkshire so I know the pig headed northern England attitudes etc & come into direct conflict with such individuals and usually win but hats off to him he’s a determined guy ratcheting up momentum & experience & doing well for himself but humble. Enough to share with others running curb side auto repairs or to car showrooms .
I think you will find, that matt,is a genuine top guy....all his motor's...are spot on...he goes the extra mile....watch and learn...enough said...
he has mentioned that he did acting and even put up the video of himself in a play, love his channel always look forward to his cheap car videos
HPA is great. A friend and I are thinking its time for some Merc from him. Not the standard stuff he has already but shirts with his key phrases...... "headlamps need a buff back", "Sting it", "Needs a need set of plates" and "ah, Classic FM, I knew it!! are just some of my favourites. Love the channel.
it's a great channel, distinctive for its lack of bullshit which is refreshing. I just wish he'd have on an SLK R171 though.... he's had the R170 and R172.
I have been watching his channel for a good couple of years now and I must say he is the real deal.I know the car business is and still is one of the most untrustworthy businesses about I think he is one of a small amount that are a lot more honest out there and I would be more than confident to buy a car from him.
Only trouble with Matt is his unhealthy dislike of Citroen Picassos. I had a few and love them 😂

Though I love and subscribe to the High Peak Autos channel this came across as like, a bit of click bait! Shock horror! Could the channel I love somehow be duping me? Having watched the episode I would like to endorse the comments made! A bit of me is frustrated that someone could dupe me into thinking differently about what I already knew! Really enjoy his videos with great content and great cars I particularly like the breakdown of the costs and the fact he is into cars which for some dealers are not surprisingly.
You forgot to add that he's very easy on the eyes too 🥰
he goes over board on spending on these low mileage cheapies, like paying £200 for a set of genuine wheel trims rather than painting the originals for £50

Matt's channel provides interesting content for carlovers. He present cars in wide pricerange. He's very respectful and appreciative of his business associates. Who doesn't know about the craftsmanship og "Jimmy the Magician". It has to be said that he is charismatic. Flashy and still down to earth. It's a bit of a contradiction, but I can't find a better way to say it. Love the show 😘👌

There are so many good used cars nowadays there is no reason for people to disguise the condition of cars unlike in the 60s & 70s when finding good honest straight cars was hit and miss. Be happy on small profits but sell lots of them🎉

I think anyone who tries to make money online needs to be criticised and either accept it or delete the channel. Remember that everyone's opinion is valid if you l7ke it or not.
