Hands! LOL! Great video. There are pros and cons to every compliance option here in CA and this was a good quick overview. Thanks Chris and Turners for the helpful content!
Yup...my AR Maglock gun has all of the "evil" features along with the combo mag...20 round mag but technically 10 round...It's a compromise but that's the reality here in Commiefornia
They don’t sell AR-maglocks at Turner’s that’s why he didn’t mention it… on a sidenote turners is the worst place I’ve ever bought a firearm and I will never go back there again…
Thanks for introducing the compmag to me, its definitely the best option for AR compliance in the fixed mag category, the featureless option is just ergonomically inconvenient due to the compromise in safety (angled handle).
Featureless and featureless just because of the standard capacity magazines plus standard mag release good day. By the way stopped at my local turners and it's a nightmare. You have to sign this sheet outside to wait 3-4 hours to be told if your not there in 5 mins you lose your spot. No thank you taking my business elsewhere. Not saying they are all like this, but my local one is. Great info non the less.
Dukes 001 my turners atm is more of a “sign in sheet, u know what u want then they pull it for u and bring u inside to pay to get you on ur way if not then u wait in line for someone at the register to help u with what u need
Featureless all day! Strike industries Mega Fin, SLR riffle works hand-stop, Gama muzzle break and some freedom week mags. You’ll be shooting round 15 going on 16 and your buddy is stuck reloading his 10 rounders or stuck with maglock issues. 😀 should have went featureless bro.
when mel function or double feed, how we fix it with fix mag. You can not release the mag, and you can not split up/low due to it is into the buffer tube ?
I was in the range a week ago and I saw one of the shooter had a double feed on his FIXED MAG. He was having hard time clearing the malfunction at the same that shooter was swinging his weapon. I told him muzzle awareness. SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT.
I use a fix mag . I learned to release the mag with one motion . Which is pressing the two buttons at the same time . When doing so , it feels as if it doesn’t have a mag lock .
Call me crazy, but I don’t see a muzzle brake being a significant help when your talking about something as tame as .223 unless your running in a competition where fractions of a second actually matter.
nail on the head, definitely dont need a brake, even for competition lots of guys dont use one but its one of those marginal things that helps with controlled pairs and fast transitions
So the only thing with the featureless gun is that you need to have a non pistol grip and a non verticle foregrip? Otherwise it can have the same rights as a fixed rifle?
Not in CA for rifles. 16” minimum barrel length unless you go with a pistol AR variant. All CA does is slow down law abiding citizens from defending themselves while letting criminals off on no cash bail. It’s getting out of control out here. My solution is simply more AR’s. I’m not reloading in CA. I’m picking up another weapon as it’s faster.
@TurnersOutdoorsman, So, I have a fixed stock, a fin hand grip, a magpul angle grip and a Troy brake on my AR, is this considered featureless and CA legal?
im confused cause u said fixed mag rifles can only use the cute little 10 rd magazines. i didnt want the cute lil small ones so i bought the 10rd magazines that look like its a 30 but holds 10 only
@@wilson1408 A little confused it seems. Capacity is the only thing that matters. If it holds 10rds it doesn't matter what it looks like. Used the regular 10rd vs a 10/30 for the video to illustrate the difference.

AR-Maglock seems to be a legit option. Yea it’s 10 round but changing can be quick with practice. Also get to keep its features

I just walk right in and up to the counter and pick out what’s on the shelf at the Stockton store.
Picking up my futureless😂 CD15 556 16” today.😎🇺🇸

@ John Doe - ALL day 💯
Want a mega fin but noticed it said NOT APPROVED by ca doj
FIXED MAG ALWAYS DOUBLE FEEDING AND STOVE PIPING.

EXACTLY!!! It’s like having two mag release buttons instead of one and look at the it has a pistol grip 🤪.

My answer for multiple shooter.... Multiple AR's
I got a question, what party do we vote out in Cali. Will that solve the problem. Asking for a friend.
With the juggernaut hellfighter pin. How do you lock the bolt? The button on the left side of the reciver is not there so how do you lock it???
You can't
You can't get ar maglock with kingpin and it allows you to use your bolt catch
Fixed mag and use the Bear Flag Defense loader 👍🏻
So the only thing with the featureless gun is that you need to have a non pistol grip and a non verticle foregrip? Otherwise it can have the same rights as a fixed rifle?
the stock needs to be a fixed stock and you can only run a muzzle break not a flash hider.
Can you have a short barrel (11.5”) with a fixed magazine ??????????

How can I tell if my AR is featureless.

If you have a non-pistol grip, a fixed stock, a muzzle brake and no vertical foregrip should be good to go.
@@TurnersOutdoorsman Thanks for your reply 🤙🏼
wait i cant use my 10 round magazines that look like a 30rd on my fixed mag????
that look like it yes. That have a capacity greater than 10 no.
TurnersOutdoorsman no it looks like it but its a 10rd magazine i cant use it???

TurnersOutdoorsman ah ok sorry i just woke up lol and i just purchased two of these magazines so i was flipping out! thanks for clarifying it
Hi everyone. Just here to say "do not comply" , have a Free day. 🇺🇸
If the rifle comes featureless, and you don't want featureless, can you then change it to mag lok? Is it legal.
of course
Why can you use a freedom week mag on a featureless, but not a fixed mag?
Cuz laws are stupid and law makers dont give a shit about us. Need to get out there and vote
I’ve been wanting a AUG but living in California I wouldn’t be able to use the foregrip they come with which honestly ruins the whole vibe of the gun
I don’t get the hype of an AUG it so ugly but maybe it a gem idk I’ll shoot one day and find out.
If you have the money, you can just buy another lower and have a featureless lower and a fixed mag lower, like I am doing for my Ruger AR.
I can’t imagine why anyone would ever choose fixed mag over featureless.
Looks "normal" maybe? I agree with you, for really getting out and shooting it, cant be featureless.
I was wondering if you were doing a Talladega nights parody lol 😂.
Now I see how stupid these laws are, is not like a featureless rifle would prevent bad people from killing less people.
Featureless is ugly but better. Especially when clearing double feed. Good luck with fixed mag.
“Armag lock” look it up it’s just as easy as featureless plus it doesn’t look like well featureless.
Let me grab a fix mag out the safe....oh wait my are all Featureless 😏 enough said
I hope the DOJ is not watching this.
Talk to fast but I got it
