Yes,'Trane,Dolphy,Ornette and the other great pioneers were intense and always searching.But they also brought a sense of humor and a blues sensibility to the table.I've listened to Immanuel and some of the other players of his generation and,well,I'm just not hearing it....
blues is sometimes often explained as a type of music & sound verses seeing It from the perspective of blues is an experience/lifestyle/celebration/etc. also using “searching” is great but It can often be mislead as these musicians/artist were lost. in my opinion the blues sensibility is all in this bands playing including blues sensitivity u dig?
