  • Hey guys!
Sharing my five years of experience using this Rotimatic machine with you all. I thought it will be super helpful for those who are planning to invest in this machine. There are few advantages of using this machine. However, if I knew the hidden facts of this machine, I wouldn’t have bought this at the first place. I am sure you will find this video super helpful.

God bless you for making this video. I am a customer for 5 years as well and let me tell you, it is my worst investment. Stopped working effectively after an year. Keeps beeping every 2 or 3 rotis. We are better off making rotis by hand. And customer support is the worst. They do not call. Only emails at snail pace. I have been contacting for the last 6 months and no response. Time to throw in the garbage

Someone posted a video on UA-cam saying the key is to working Rotimatic machine is to deep clean after each use which takes 45min, LOL if we have to deep clean after each use then its better to make Roti with hands in lesser than 45min for two to three people

    • @vkapoor69

@poojabalwani67 so.. I've had mine for 6 years nearly 7, the only issue inhaler was incorrect flower but that was my fault.. deep clean 45mins??? No, i deep clean mine and its about 10 mins, I've never had the issues this lady is showing but of you look closely you can see dry atta, she's not cleaned her machine at all. This video is a typical, she should show us how she cleans it in one single clip ans then use the machine and it will work

looks like you'll need to take it apart and see what is going on, there might be some obstruction inside, i just saw your other videos and found out you are an engineer in Canada just like me! you can figure this out easily, i spent a day trying to take apart a commercial keurig myself and know its a bit tedious, but definitely satisfying and worth the time spent.

I purchased Rotimatic from a lady for $50. She said it didn't work and was getting similar results as in the video. I cleaned all of the outside parts and the inside parts of the machine. I made sure it looked like new inside and out. I put in the water, flour, and oil. I was expecting several errors and for it not to work. What I got was three perfect rotis. In my two days of ownership I have made 20 rotis and have had zero issues. The problem the previous owner had was the machine needed a deep cleaning. It took me about 45 minutes to clean the machine. It was really bad. The most important thing I learned from cleaning the Rotimatic is that you need to clean the inside parts (dough mixer and dough tray) after every use and while the dough is still soft. Waiting too long and the job becomes more of a challenging. I plan to do a deep clean once a month.

If the time it takes to clean all the parts and everything after each use is more than the time you would have spent making fresh roti the traditional way, then you have to ask if it is really a time saver. It's an interesting concept but until it is as convenient, reliable and robust as most toasters, not sure I would invest in one.

We got one a few months ago. So far we have eaten like 400 rotis probably. We get some issues once a while but it resets after turning it off and on most of the time. Also we keep our machine very clean after each use. I think that is key to reduce any issues. Havent any atta other than sujata, which is a recommended one so that might another reason for fewer issues.

Unless you have a servant in the house cooking fresh chapatis everyday manually is not practical. The machine is priceless because it solved those issues and has helped me get a lot more fit and improve my sports performance which is worth a lot more than the cost of this machine already. I have been making 13 chapatis everyday for last couple of months and never had an issue. I clean it for 1-2 minutes after every use. You can have a kitchen aid and tortilla maker as a cheap backup.

We hv had it for 5 -6 yrs now,, on and off it plays up,, sometimes it’ll churn out roti without any hassle,, but more often than not you hv to standby ,, it doesnt save you any time, and too noisy,, i have pretty much stopped using it,, Haldiram has come to our rescue,,,

how do you get rotis from haldiram? I dont want preservatives and yeast in my roti but all the ones from store have that.

stop using aashirwad atta and switch it over to sujata - Also, try cleaning all 3 tubes aata, oil and water - i always open equipment when i decide to dispose it. to me it seems like a spindle problem - any machine which decreases manpower where flour and oil is involved has high chances of getting dough getting stuck in some hidden areas which makes it malfuncitions.

Yes it is noisy, but some instruments may be defective but u should consult proper channel,u must have taken insurance policy,my daughter is using same since 4 yrs,no problem, once defective piece arrived, they replace without charging anything and yes u have to clean it daily and properly.

We have so many Indian start ups which pomp a great technology hub in the world. Why no one is able to produce a machine like this. In Singapore everything is expensive so the price is high and probably Rotimatic has no research division to improve the product quality over years. Some Indian companies must produce Rotimatic and Currimatic combined unit. SInce US dollar is very expensive, it costs 35% more to buy in Canadian dollars, its price is currently 2500 Canadian dollars including shipping and taxes in Canada that too with all discounts they offer. For Canadians this is very expensive.

I bought mine and now trying to fix it after it died. It is not under warranty. In California manufacturers are required to make repair literature and parts to consumers so consumer can do self-repair. I asked for a wiring diagram because I did not want to send it the factory outside the US for repair. Customer service said they would not provide it. I wholeheartedly recommend that you not purchase this machine. I will be filing a complaint with the State of Californis Consumer Affairs and ask the this company no longer be able to sell them or ship them to any location in the state.

I preordered in 2014 and got actual m/c in 2017. First batch had issues they replaced my m/c in 2018. Same thing with my two other friends replacement after one year. New machine I got is working reasonably good since 2018.
