At The Container Guy, we are constantly developing new products and engineering practices. We know how to convert sea containers without compromising the integrity of the structure. This channel will take you along as we convert Conex boxes for our clients and show you the proper way to install accessories.
We also hope to provide the shipping container home and tiny home following great tips on how to modify sea cans properly so you don’t make the same mistakes I have!
Our company is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Although we cannot modify shipping containers for everyone, our available products can be sent anywhere in North America. These products and designs are forever changing. Be sure to check our website to keep up to date on the most recent versions.

Subbed a while back, loving to see your channel grow.
Thanks again for your dedication.
OG sub! Thanks for sticking around
I have to say CONGRATULATIONS you have done a marvellous work and I have my first container and I will enjoy making my workshop / tool shed !!! Thank you for all your great advice.
Strut channel all the way 👌👌👌
@@TheContainerGuyTV. Thanks for your innovative framing kits, I am interested in possibly building a container home, however I am constantly researching other options for building affordable homes, that brings me to a question regarding possibly using a semi-trailer to build a tiny home, it’s similar to using a container. Is it possible to adapt your metal framing kit to the inside of a semi-trailer and is it possible to adapt your outside wood framing kit to a semi-trailer house build? Which of your framing kits would you recommend for adaptation to a semi-trailer home building project? Would it require a great deal of modification in your opinion, hopefully it’s something I can easily do. Thanks
Consider building some "homes" on site just for demonstration purposes. A 2 story with an observation deck on top. 3, 4, 5+ story homes are what really get people excited.
Make a cabin; a man cave / hang out, a garage or shop. Can you compete size wise with the metal building industry? A common 30x40 metal building price compared to equal size built out of containers? Building in a way that could be expanded unlimited?
Love a challenge. Suck at losing too!
I enjoy your truthful approach for all the innovations as to utilize the container for all sorts of duty.....good ideas or ideas that have been improved on..... youre always truthful.........one container I''d love to see ideas for are the non working refer units...... Aka Not working any longer refrigeration containers.......40 ft'rs.....already hi-efficient foam lined with stainless steel sheeted inside already......Thank you for your Vids !!
We just had a 20ft non-working reefer roll into our yard (very rare occurrence) and I said "that's mine" (for video purposes) and it was already sold. 🤬
I tried to order a bunch of reefers without the reefers (insulated cans) ~6 months ago and it just kinda fizzled. I think there's money to save there...
@@TheContainerGuyTV ........The reefers have a shiny interior of stainless-steel sheeting which also serves well for reflecting inside light around, the floors are grooved aluminum so the cold air can circulate the product which it is holding..... but I sheet the floor with 5 ply, 1/2 plywood and screw it down with self-drilling, screws which have the large flat head....... then roll on some enamel deck gray paint.....yeah, 20 are difficult to find, 40's however if you have the room are affordable...20's are the king !
I am interested in building a home out of 1, 40 foot, and I, 20 foot container. I saw your video of a young man framing the inside of a container with steel studs.
Thanks for these videos. I was in touch earlier about a project I want to do in Michigan. It would be building a portable workshop/office that can be put on the back of a truck and moved to a location and remain off-grid for electricity, internet, and heating.
Congrats on all your success!!!!
Thank you. A long way to go before we solve all the world's problems but one step at a time haha
@TheContainerGuyTV One shovel at a time and before you know it that mountain is gone!!!
@@bignicnrg3856 love it
Indeed u r a GOOD Guy ❤❤
Awesome Journey and loving the concepts and the brackets!
@Channing, love the job you're doing. I hope you and your family have great success. It's too bad that you can't partner up with another company to handle the build out and other structural stuff.
Put containers on end and stack them vertically. See if you can get to 100+ feet high even if you have to use guy-wires.
Ba Da Bing, Ba Da Boom!💥
love seeing the journey of this channel and watching this channel get big
you deserve all the success in the world and i can't wait to see the sub count once you get those exterior brackets done ... once people can see the potential on a youtube vid i'm sure the orders will come pouring in especially from the southern climates
Our goal is to solve problems, not to be "big". We just want lots of people to listen (good or bad) because it's lots of work. Let's grow this together
Can Romex used to wire the container home when using metal steel stud?
Glad to hear you are considering some housing ideas/products. Your team's creativity and ingenuity will be able to tackle the design problems of various climates with modular solutions that are space efficient and practical. "It is your destiny" -- Darth Vader. Great video (as always)
Thx dude
Proud of you son.
I want to add windows and doors and a roof.
Good info
Just pushing the algorithm 👍
Always replace "algorithm" with "audience" and if you're still providing value, you'll do well on UA-cam
Excellent interview. I’ve watched several of your videos and was curious as to how you got started. Thanks for sharing the story. All the best, Andy
@@andyetters9056 thanks Andy
I saw another of your videos of a guy framing outside the container with attachments and wood.
Thanks for watching. That was me. Anything I can help with?
Yes, I noticed in some of your videos that different attachments were used. Some were used inside to attach metal for good sturdy framing. Some were used outside for wood framing. Do you sell these different respective attachments?
I would like to purchase some of the "screw in attachments " I saw in the videos. It appears these attachments would be very helpful. Do you sell them?

I think we made another video to brag,,lol....and if you got 6 computer screens now, you riping people off on these containers,, you got to much money
🤑🤑🤑🤑 4 screens. $179 each
I am looking for a pre-built home, made from a single shipping container or other method. When you say you won't build people a shipping container home, I imagine you mean a home from multiple shipping containers, as I could see how that would require engineering etc. What if someone wanted a home out of a single shipping container and we could finish the interior ourselves (as I heard you say you don't want to install flooring, wall coverings etc), you could offer the basics, could you not? (a container, insulated with a floor and ceiling, windows and doors...)
