I’ve been using a different method I found but this looks much more reliable and clean! Definitely giving this a try later!

At first, it sounds like too many steps, but after watching it a second time, it all makes sense.

first tutorial I've seen that captures the "dime stack" look of a MIG weld. Thanks a ton!

this was a son of a gun to complete, did not find a circle texture, so probably external asset.
i went thru all the brushes and most of them can not accumulate properly.
i did find that the clay brush did the job, with the settings shown in the video bit set the strength to 1, spacing to 12, and in advanced settings checkbox accumulate to on.

Your work is amazing! I’m pushing myself everyday to be as good as you. Thanks for the tutorial and for the streams.
It would be totally awesome if you could show us how to make duct tape in blender since marvelous designer is soooo expensive.
Keep up the good work pilgrim.

How can I get a circular texture like that? i'm modifying a game file to add weld marks to a rollcage and I can't seem to get the default blender package to add the dots.

how do i add a custom texture?

if you haven't been told or found out yet, you basically make a black and white picture, save it as a PNG or something into a file you can easily find. then when you select your brush in sculpt mode, click add texture, then look for the red checkerboard tab on the right side of the screen: that's the texture tab. click that, hit add new, and the rest should be self explanatory

is there a more feasible method for doing this with with more complex shapes ? when i add a remesh modifier , i can only get the original shape back once i've added around 500k new faces and this messes with the optimization way too much .

I was wanting to do this on a clothes rail model I have. But my remesh is not treating my model well at all

Very informative video but made terrible way. Super fast speech, hard to hear voice over the music, too big screen resolution (UI elements are too small) and too fast jumping between elements. And how to make that texture?
Tried 10 times but doesn't work for me. Keep doing something wrong.
