I find that archboldiana just doesn't like getting cut. She grows pretty fast when unbothered, but as soon as you cut, it takes her months to start pushing growth again.

Love the archboldiana. I sometimes add stratum to my pon around the roots when I have a slow grower. It seems to help a lot. Just my experience. Always here for the Hoya 💚 Thank you!

You can purchase an inexpensive soldering iron to put additional holes in the catch pots you don’t like to get use out of them😊

i make my own pon and it definitely comes out cheaper than lechuza and I can put my own nutrient solution which I prefer =) my diy pon mix is 1 part zeolite , 2 parts pumice , 2 parts lava rock ( color or your choice) 1 part masato stone.

I found DIY a little bit cheaper but not convenient. I had to buy big bags of each component. I know you don't have a ton of storage space so that might be something to consider. Also mixing and rinsing was a chore. The substrates were very dusty. Luckily i was able to do that outside. I ended up with tons of pon but I wouldn't do it again lol Lechuza is much more convenient (if you can find stock)
Love watching your videos and love the hoya videos. I wish you were closer. I'd give you my GH nutrients I got to try. They just don't work for me and I hate throwing them out. I'm north GTA.

Kevin have you tried the crystal star nursery semi-hydro that Fern has used? Might be easier for you to get than Lechuza and easier than DIY.

Morning hype 🎉, I love the nstropicals new clear trelis. I gotna few last month.
You can have it both ways. Trelissed and hanging. I have a hoya Mathilde on a trellis, and it fully covers the trelllis. I'm letting the new vines trail down and I really like the look. I usually prefer small leaved hoyas to trail down rather than on a trellis. Your plants grow ridiculously fast! I can't get over it. Most of my plants had spider mites an I just finished treating them and they're already growing, all of them.Hopefully they keep going.

That’s the reason the trellises so they disappear. That’s the reason they are clear is that the focus is on the plant.

Love! Love! But I am struggling with my hoya lucardenasiana.. Leaves are starting to be soft and wrinkled.. but roots are fine.. its in pon and under a grow light. To each his own but I am always going to use stuff from Crystal Star Nursery. They make me feel important even though I am just another plant parent and thats special in this day.. Thanks for this video.
