I once started a game in the Kongo, got a work call, quickly plotted a course to the enemy base and told my team to use me as a decoy. When I came back, the game was over and I had a low but just about adequate amount of XP, and a few thousand damage caused. Was better than just sitting there, at least. Unfortunately, I hardly took any damage.
I put battotai drip remix plot a course in the middle of everything and rarely shot the mains I got 5 kills and 60k damage and they barely scratch the paint ! Also the player Diana L try to kill me but then surrender best cheap purchase ever!😂😂

April Fools joke aside, the Mikasa really is a hell of a lot of fun. She's the TOG II of WoWS; big, stupid, but she's got character. I love my Mikasa like I love my TOG.
The transition between pre-dreadnouughts and dreadnoughts was a wild period for sure. Here we have the ship that at the same time has characteristics of renowned "floating hotel" heavy cruisers and true dreadnought battleship.

The Mikasa was my favourite ship back when you could get flags for close quarters expert. The best part was that yes, you only got it in random not coop, and yes you only got it once a day, BUT bots padding random still counted, and having 9 secondaries kills in that first game of the day gave you 9 flags. So once a day I'd sail the seven seas like Yosemite Sam in search of phat booty, and got all the flags I needed. I apologized in advance to any actual player, then melted their faces with secondaries like I'm sailing the ark of the covenant.
And then I'd sometimes do it again just because I was bored.
We are the reason that they removed the ability to get combat flags from achievements...
Oh yes, the good old days of being able to have fun in this game, i miss those days

I love the Mikasa. This review is very much on point. I remember the good ole days before WG ruined lower tier randoms by putting bots in them, I used to be able to take the Mikasa out late at night and though I had to wait a few minutes at times it would often put me in a 1 vs 1 match against some POS tier II cruiser (totally fair), and I would always laugh at their vain attempts to do anything against me :)

As much as this is an April Fools, i always thought they would add more T2 Battleships of the old Pre Dreadnought style, sure there is not many, but enough for most nations to have 1.
Sure makes me miss the really old days when this thing fought T1, and yes, the 152mm HE secondaries would Citadel all T1's. Was truly a cursed time, and in a way, I miss it.
Actually, there are far more pre-dreadnought battleships than dreadnoughts.
WG development teams really made a blunder when they made this game about world war 2 ships. 1900-1920 has an order of magnitude more ships and classes available to model in game.

Some time ago, we were bored with a friend, and we went to fuck around in 2 Mikasas... And the rule was no main gun firing. We ended the game with 9 kills 😂.
Mikasa main gun accuracy simulator: Stay up for 3 days, get highly intoxicated, spin around for a good 5 mins as fast as you can. Wear a welding helmet, then try and toss 2 baseballs duct taped together at a target 300m away.

Well, I can confirm that uninstalling the game made me a much happier man, as I now can enjoy the best of both worlds: Not play the game and watch Yuro's excellent videos.

I played from Alpha testing, uninstalled after just under 500 battles post release (was clear where it was going, even from closed testing).
Haven't played since, and I'm 99.999% certain I never will.
Been enjoying all sorts of vids ever since, however, Yuro's included. 🤔😂

From what I’ve experienced with this ship is that it’s a cruiser and destroyer’s worst nightmare it hunts them down and eliminates them from the match with ease
I just visited this ship in Yokusuka last weekend. I bought it a while before then, but I think its so much cooler now

I got real drunk one holiday weekend some years ago and played about a hundred games in the Mikasa in an almost black out, and finally broke 50% W/R... going the wrong direction. I think I did laugh a lot at the time, tho.
I'll take out my Mikasa, set that thing to autopilot, and step away from my computer to go do something else for a bit

how to be german secondary fanboi: play Mikasa
I've been on the actual Mikasa in Tokyo. Everything above deck is a replica (America had the guns scrapped after WW2 so she couldn't be used to shoot at American ships) and the bottom of the ship where the ammo storage etc is is off limits to the public.
The society that looks after her have stripped away some of the paint on one of the steel beams inside the ship to display the markings of the steel supplier, Glasgow Steel.
She also has lots of memorabilia from the Russian fleet she decimated at Sushima Straight
I think we need more Tier 2 Battleships. Let the Battleship Line start at Tier 2 with a Predreadnought
