Dart Counter Subscription price has just gone up to £35.99 for a year, or £4.99 per month if you just want to play at home and do practice games, not online, you don’t even need a subscription - that is all free!
Great video Neil. Just to clarify on the Omni cost - you can use the omni locally at home without needing a subscription at all. To play online and for detailed stats to help improve performance, the subscription is £34.99 for the entire year, or £4.99 per month.
I just got my Omni a few days ago, I was perviously using autodarts which was great but the Omni is a big step up and its only going to get better. Im in North America so the lobby was dead on autodarts and like you said you can get a game in 30 seconds on dart counter and i totally agree. even being here in NA I play with the euro users and when you all are sleeping the aussies start to come on and some americans. one thing target needs to implement is a live view of the board like in auotdarts your opponent can choose any of the 3 camera's to watch your board. I was throwing a few big number rounds on the omni and i had a player pause the game and ask me to put my camera facing my board. now I have stupid tripod setup to get a crystal clear view of my board so when i go from throwing 4 26s to back to back 100+ the person doesn't start questioning. but that being said if they do add that feature it would deem the virt almost useless.
I've the Autodarts and it's absolutely brilliant, love it I don't think I could get the Omni as it hasn't the board live view (unless you get the Virt) no idea if the Scolia has live board view though. Autodarts for the money AND no subscription is unbeatable imo.
Neither. If you want a full system like that, go for Autodarts, that's A LOT cheaper than either of these. If you want to go even cheaper and easier, go for Dartsmind - you can use your phones camera for auto counting, or plug in an external cam to your iPad.
Been watching the channel for a while and I find all your reviews very helpful. This review though I couldn't disagree more when it comes to the Scolia.which I have had for the past few months. Very few miss reads, no issues getting into games etc....
I don't have any issues getting games on scolia. Alot of people play tournaments rather than single games because is has live board view and they is tournemnts every 15mins and they are normal full come game time. The scolia can be a pain sometimes when miss registering darts but over all it's great. It can be great for a day or 2 then it may play up a few times.
This as great mate and sure loads of people will be grateful for this……..for me…….being in the garage like you……….i am leaning towards the omni……I waited for it and from what I see I looks fabulous for the price point
I received the Omni last week, It's such a good system. The only thing scolia has at the moment over it is Tournaments but that's just a software thing that I'm sure Target will implement going forward. I think this could be the end for scolia
Excellent information Neil. I have neither, as you know I'm also playing darts in my garage and the internet used to poor out there, much better now though. Still both would be a bit of a waste for me due to being away for more than half the year. I do have a camera setup so I can play online but that's very rare now. You enjoy the Omni as it does look great
Firstly great comparison/review chief. Finally got over my dartitus after a long period of struggling joined the local league and almost finished a new man cave. Delighted you preferred the OMNI as i have just invested in one and it arrived this morning and agree had a bit of trouble connecting to the WiFi but once I got it it was so easy to set up quick calibration and away it went another week to finish the inside of the man cave and then I will be using it for practice and hopefully a few games.
Downside to Omni is the fact the Omni and Virt wont work on the website, app compatible only, but its getting address as we speak, also the Omni looks much better and is portable, allowing it to be put away safely from accidental damage
@@Ryan-3Putt absolutely not mate, if you play enough darts and enjoy playing then it’s well worth it. I’m not a massive fan of standing there working out the maths so having this just makes everything smoother and quicker. It’s a solid piece of kit and there’s loads more coming to it as well. You’ll need a Darts Counter subscription to play online matches, this works out at about £2.50 a month so less than a pint. I got the ultimate sub on Black Friday and it was only £15 for the year.
Omni is good. i like it a lot. there is so few games though offline to choose from. it does make a lot of mistakes and it isn't easy to change it when it does sometimes it is impossible if you have taken your darts out before you notice mistake. very convenient though to be fair just a shame the app isn't a lot better with a lot more content on there
A benefit of the Scolia system is that it is linked up with the Go Darts Pro training games which I use. My experience of the Scolia is around 98% accuracy when recording scores which, I believe compares similarly to the Omni?. I don't tend to have any issues getting a game (usually in the late hours) so 🤷♂️...Another benefit is the ease of changing/turning the board with a Scolia as the only thing that needs removing is the surround. Interesting review 😎👍
@@mantraray1963 again it’s just my experience with using both, I know like yourself and others it will be a difference of opinion but I’ve got to look at it as a whole, obviously this video wont agree to all lol. Cheers for your feed back mate it’s appreciated
@NeilsDarts absolutely, that's what made it an interesting review. Thought it'd be helpful to anyone wanting to make a choice to give a couple of the additional Scolia benefits 😎 For Darts Connect users then Omni would be the best choice I guess 🤷♂️ but as a Go Darts Pro user, having Scolia linked to the training games has been a massive plus 👍 Maybe you could do a scientific test of the accuracy of each system? 1000 darts on each and compare the results? Anyway, interesting review regardless 😎👍🎯
I'm with on that one, I 3D printed the whole set up too. I'm from the north America so when i get home from work the lobby are pretty quiet. but its still amazing against the computer. I do have trouble playing in local with two players it sometimes doesnt wanna switch players.
@@jason11166 EU times are pretty nice. Lets hope it will get bigger in NA too. I regulary have full tournaments and also playing leagues online. Pretty cool
Great video. I set my OMNI up last week and it is amazing. Great value for money. Never had a issue getting a game. Interesting about the virt camera though, i might hikd off buying the virt camera untill they iron out the issues.
I’ve had both also. Scolia has reached its limit pretty much in terms of gameplay offerings. And the fact it’s only other Scolia owners you can play against is a downside. Omni on the other hand while behind at the moment, it has limitless potential. Mainly due to the fact you can play anyone regardless if they have an Omni or not. Also, Target has the resources and connections to make Omni worldwide especially within pub/club leagues and official tournaments (in the future of course). Plus from my experience, Omni is more accurate. Good video btw
How do you know Scolia has reached it's gameplay offering limit? They're adding features all the time and rumors are that there is integration with other platforms in the development pipeline. To say it's reached its limit is wrong in my opinion
