- Pig butchering is a relatively new long-game financial con in which “pigs,” or targets, are “butchered” by people who convince them to invest ever-larger sums in purported cryptocurrency-fueled trading platforms. The fake platforms are designed to look real, and make the victims believe that their investments are making fantastic returns - until their scammer, and all the money they believe they’ve invested, disappears.
Victims often lose significant sums, and the practice is so lucrative that it’s being scaled up and carried out en masse in countries like Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. So far, American law enforcement officials at both the federal and local level have made little headway in recovering stolen funds or catching the perpetrators.

*ExposeGadgets* I wished I could shake your hand. I'm a 61 year old disabled woman. A few months before the pandemic I was stalked and harassed on the phone by an Indian scammer. Sad thing is he wouldn't have gotten a red cent from me. I live from check to check. I thank you for what you are doing especially for the elderly and the vulnerable that can't stand up for themselves. My stalker finally gave up after I told him I'd love to hold him down and wash out his filthy mouth with lye soap until he cried for his momma.

I played along with a supposed Danish woman even to the point of getting instructions to download Crypto apps and how to start a crypto account. After weeks of caressing chat, "she" lost patience with me when I told them I couldn't share screen shots to prove what I was doing of to get their "help." Finally, after a week of wasting their time, insults came and were very funny. I kept the conversation going until they blocked me! It was very believable and so dangerous to many people. Dealing with these scammers is difficult - your video may help many if it is widely seen. They are not just scammers, they are scum!
