Little Big Planet 2 is still my favorite game to this day, it's easy to be someone's favorite game but maintaining that position for 12 years is hard but that game got too much soul put into it
LBP2 was my fav childhood game, I have really fond memories of getting up to silly activities and creating random stuff that made no sense, I didn't know about restitched till now and looks amazing, I cant wait to play!
Actually all your levels aren't gone, someone was able to back up and archive every level made before Febuary 2023. Also, there's custom servers such as Refresh and Beacon (running on LittleBigRefresh and Project Lighthouse respectively) so you can use the online features again. Although it does require modding your PS3, in the case of Refresh there is an exploit being developed which allows your game to be patched to the custom servers without needed to jailbreak your console.
The thing i wanted most was a little big planet game where they include everything. So a game that has all the story modes from 1 to 3 on it and so you have like 6 story modes to play through with all the levels and all the items you could get. Then a create mode like 3 had but with everything. Its not even that hard because the story levels were made in create mode and all the old custom levels from the past two games were playable on the newer ones

Damn, just bought this game today because lbp was my first and most played game on ps3 til I dropped it and moved on. I had no idea the servers were permanently down and feel dumb for not checking out the state of the game before mindlessly buying it. You’d think sony would’ve taken this game off the psn store to avoid having people buying an unplayable game.

I've experienced the same thing with a mobile game called "blocksworld" that was shut down in around 2014 it's not some scummy Minecraft clone or something but instead a really enjoyable social physics-based 3D sandbox game with a really dedicated fanbase with clans and other fun stuff. I don't think I'll be able to access any of my many old worlds that I poured my childhood into
I remember playing the entire trilogy at the tail end of its life. 2019 I think. Going from 1 to 2. Carrying over my sack character clothes and texture. Then 2 to 3 (ps4). Carrying over that sackboys clothes and textures. Then at the final end I screen shoot a really good picture of sackboy with the combine clothes and other items of 3 different games.
I would give anything for LBP to come back! Pretty much every single one of my favorite games/series have died out. I need something to fill the void, and LBP was my introduction to quality online games. Nothing compares!

I'm watching reviews for astronot, and people are naming earlier ps mascots... Of course they mentioned Crash, and even Knack, but they didn't mention sackboy. He used to be in all the ads man.
I never really finished LBP3, and there was a reason. I had the first two games and these were the GOTY versions that had some of the best DLC included with it like MGS4 and Pirates of the Caribbean that had the water DLC. So all the DLC in the first game was compatible with the second. However when I got LBP3 for PS4 I discovered I no longer had access to this DLC. Apparently it works fine with the PS3 version, but because I have the PS4 version it won't carry over the GOTY DLC. The GOTY DLC is disc based, so you didn't have to download it, and because of this it seems it couldn't be carried over to the PS4 version. I pretty much felt robbed.
back when I would sit on the floor and play littlebigplanet 3 my mom would use alexa to play songs so now whenever I hear them I think of littlebigplanet3..

There are indeed custom servers available to play if you know how, and there is an archive of MOST of the community levels, I think it’s until about January 2023 So if you remember the level name, and you know how to get the levels into your game, you CAN play the levels. It’s still not the same, though. Fuck you Sony.

Literally LBP is probably the best game to adapt into a live-service model. Make money off skins, market it similar to Roblox, and you don't have to do much work since the community will do all the work for you.

I hope beyond hope that they release some sort of remaster collection of the first two games (maybe even having Karting) so that the PS3 versions aren’t just locked to that system. At least 3 can be played on PS5 via PS4 BC, here’s to hoping they at least figure out PS3 compatibility someday.
