This is actually the 1990 original that was a regional hit in South FL but was remade in 2004 by Lil Jon and Usher into a HUGE HIT! Most people never heard this original which I think is better and more soulful than the remake!
@@wakeupstopsleeping6300... I knew this original from college in 1990 in MS and some guys from Miami and Orlando were playing this in the dorm. So I immediately recognized the remake when I heard it in 2004. Still like this original better than the remake.
This gotta be the original version? But yeah, I remember Usher & Lil Jon doing this in the 2000's. I don't remember this original version tho 🤷🏿♀️. Like did it get any radio or air play?

@@michaelprice3992 oh yeah, me hearing this one is cool 😎. I'm just laughing now cause finding out Usher & Lil Jon version wasn't something they came up with. But should've known better REMAKES or COVERS 😅😂
Sterling was much more of a writer and producer which is where he put most of his energy. He was never trying to be a big singing star. He actually preferred to stay behind the scenes but did some singing projects.
This is the original
Enjoyable song request & reaction. 🔥

this is the original. Sterling was based in Miami and this was a regional FL hit. 2004 Lil Jon and Usher remade it into a big national hit.
@@michaelprice3992 just comes to show nothing is new musically. It's either a sample, a cover or remake. I keep telling my kids this..

Ok, ok, I thought this sounded familiar!! Great request!
I never dug Sterling's voice. Al B Sure can sing circles around this guy and he wasn't strong vocally.
