Priceless and such an honour to experience the precious moment in time. Timeless masterpiece. Thank you for sharing an amazing gift. Thank you Steve Miller Band for the years🎼💞🙏⚘🐝
This song brings back so many happy memories, it was one of my favourite tracks way back in '77 when I lived in Amsterdam, oh such carefree innocent days !!!
Do not over look the lyrics. There is a deeper message. I was 10 when released and has been in my playlist for 42 years. Saw Steve at Rider College circa 1986
I came along a wee bit later ~ maybe first heard it in 1982. But I still live in the seventies quite a bit (not just musically either). Even the BBC was a thousand times better back then. TV was actually very good viewing often enough (I was in England back then).
I'm on a quest to find out what exactly wild mountain honey is. Any help out there? This song makes me feel like I'm in a secret Garden of sorts maybe on another planet where love is supreme ruler
Valid question, obviously no one responded inability to answer. Every learn meaning or was if figuratively poetic meaning. Who knows? I used to water ski at 13 with it playing on the boat in Altoona. Metro Atlanta, Acworth to be exact with my brother 15mths apart who died over drugs , it took life and made my future just without meaning yet I kept going. I discover this after he died 4 yrs ago and I'm glad I found it as it gives me that same euphoric feeling about the world at life in 70s. Freedom was such a concept taken for granted at that point because our world was different. Remember the stark difference with musi c with instrumentation and without Auto-Tune by today. It goes far beyond music though it goes into human behavior changes that I've developed in her so starkly different now. Of course we love back with Rose Colored Glasses it was definitely Rozier
This, while stoned, amazing. 2023 could NEVER. So glad I have family with a good taste in music.
He was a mad scientist perfectionist of music. He has his place in rock music history.
My favorite Steve Miller song performed beautifully and reverently live.
Such a great song. Always loved it. Better times were those. No such songs could even occur in 2020.
Damn Skippy!
This is way better than the album version which I also love. Such a classic!
The time of life 1976....wishes that it would of stopped right there.
This time capsule is exactly what is great about UA-cam.
I so enjoy listening to this song after 40 plus years. Love ❤🔱❤
I just love early Steve. Just the best.

Is their first five albums were their best
This song came out when I was 26 years old. Still applies today..it's all about materialism.

Wow. Amazing that it sounds so close to the record live.
Dave Rucci most bands recorded live in the studio in these times
Happy 75th Birthday Steve Miller

Happy birthday Gweneth!
I always thought this song was about the opium poppy lol. The plant grows in the mountains and when “leeched” it yields a sort of honey

Nice
🎼🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Im not quite sure why the videos in black and white. There was definitely color in 1976
Do you think there were any drugs involved here? I wish I could have been 5 yrs older back in the 70's.
Electric Sitar ,,,I think.
What kind of guitar is Miller playing?
it's an coral electric sitar
@@BobDaPumpkin @rusman1114 you can also get a cheaper danelectro version, but it's not as fancy
Miller paid $125 for it, as it was in a 'take any one used instrument for 125" section of a music store...
Wild Mountain Honey has always been my favorite tune. I was only nine when it came out and it still takes me where I need to be....
Just dance
ufos.
