Stop testing for THC !!!
Sounds good but even if the feds remove it from the scheduled list, there's nothing stopping employers privately testing for it just like alcohol. And federal agencies like fmcsa for truck driving can still test for it, again like alcohol.
I’m a tanker driver and I was informed last week that I got a positive result for THC on a random drug test. The only possible explanation was the CBD oils I use on my joints post-workout about three times per week. THREE TIMES PER WEEK, applied topically. I’ve never failed a drug screen before (prior military, licensed pilot, now DOT truck driver, I’ve had a lot of em), and now I’m having to initiate a meeting with a Substance Abuse Professional to essentially present my case and hopefully get a clean test and Return to Work date. It’s deflating, humiliating and expensive. I have to pay $600 out if pocket for them to essentially review my case and release me back to work. Sounds like it will be a pretty straightforward process and pray that I can get back in the saddle soon and clear that violation from the Clearinghouse record… but I took a completely unnecessary risk (didn’t know it at the time) and it cost me dearly. I will never use a CBD product again while operating under the FAA or DOT.

Hi Doc. I live in California and about to take my vision test as a new non commercial driver. I have a lazy eye in my left eye, but my right eye is okay. Im worried I will be disqualified bc of the lazy eye condition. What do you suggest I should do to pass the vision test to get the DL? Thanks in advance.
“In theory”, your right! However, it’s all about employer standards - only if you to go through - their DOT doctors, or clinics.

What about life insurance testing? I’m getting blood work and urine test and my at home test shows positive for thc but I’ve only vape cbd products . I stop about a month ago.
Does your office do T8 physicals?
If the product provides lab test results for the lot number, can I at least rely on that info?

If I have never taken a DOT physical or drug test and I fail on my first attempt am I allowed to retake?
Hell no you fail your DOT drug test bro you’re not done completely but you just hurt yourself big time you’d have to go through what they call a substance abuse program and you can only work for SAP approved companies afterwards
Why didnt you use/have synthetic urine if you are dealing with dot?
